My poem is called "Heart Broken"



when i met you, i saw perfection in your eyes

in your eyes, i saw honesty

in your eyes, i saw hope

in your eyes, i saw innocence

but deep inside, there were lies

but deep inside, there was despair

but deep inside, there was guiltiness

but deep inside, there was no future



i hide my emotions, and pretend for once i was happy

i laugh and joke, while inside im dying

im heart broken, once again

the pain is almost numbing, inside my heart

i cant stop this pain, it seems

in my dreams, the heartache is still there

i sit in the darkness, being angry at myself

i cry, and think about what i could have done to prevent this



love is relentless, my heart is empty

i felt, warmth around you

i felt, liveliness around you

i felt, happiness around you

now i feel, awkwardness around you

now i feel, sadness around you

now i feel, dead around you

you dont know it but, i will always love you
