My Nightreign platinum🖤
The final trophy it took me so long to get required beating any Nightlord with every character, DLC characters excluded obviously. And I just had no interest in playing anyone but Duchess. And I knew I'd wanna do it solo because I'm not going to be the dumbass that anyone has to take care of. So I just didn't think I'd ever actually do it, but... decided to try. I didn't particularly have trouble with any of them. I'd say Recluse is the probably the hardest start because if you don't get a good staff right away, you're just kinda screwed. So I tried to utilize her more as a hybrid character because people always say Recluse can't melee. She absolutely can, and she's a lot like Duchess if you slap a dagger in her hand. Obviously she's better off using her magic, but she can use melee weapons effectively. Oddly enough the characters I was most worried about turned out to be the easiest, those being Raider and Guardian. I don't do big boy characters, I prefer to be small, and fast to big, and hard hitting, but they didn't give me much trouble. Raider has a surprisingly good dodge so... I don't understand why people can't dodge with him. Guardian basically has no dodge. But he's a blocker, not a dodger. I don't do blocking though so my first act as Guardian was to throw away my shield xD Followed by my halberd because the largest complaint about Guardian is his pathetic damage output. And that makes sense for him on a team because on a team he's meant to shield, and draw aggro while throwing out the occasional poke. That doesn't work for me in solo. I don't want to spend an hour shield poking the final boss into chip damage oblivion. So I threw his base equipment out, boosted his arcane, and gave him a mace with beautiful bleed damage. Worked pretty well. Revenant was probably the easiest because of her summons. Although interestingly, I see a lot of people say to give Revenant your starlight shards because her summons use up her mana. That's 100% not true. They regen over time, never once needed a shard to summon them. People also whine that she needs to be buffed. I think they must all be playing her wrong. Because she's more than capable with incantations. I took her up against Augur with a lightning build, and completely destroyed with minimal effort so... yeah, I don't think she needs to be enhanced at all. The problem is that too many idiots wanna do the meme tiny girl with colossal weapon build instead of leaning into her natural affinity for incantations. That's a you problem, not her. I honestly don't think any of the characters particularly need to be buffed, they all seem to function as intended in the hands of a capable player. So basically... this just confirms for me that most people just suck xD I already knew that.
