The girl sat quietly on the third step in front of the theater. She was waiting for her mother, Debra, who performs there once a night. As she waited, she thought of being free, she though of the journey she could take without all the restrictions , of white clouds, of sunny days, the loss of her innocence and the illness that followed after. While she sat there thinking, someone had crept around the corner of the theatre covered in dirt, dressed in the best Armani suit that money could buy still looking greasy enough to make someone nauseous. He leaned on the door staring at this beautiful girl. Just taking in all her beauty would take hours, hours that he did not have at the moment but if all went right tonight he would have more than just hours with her presence. Debra said she would take her time leaving the theatre but you can only stall for so long. He had to make his move now, he couldn’t just stand there.

“Hello princess.”

The girl turned around to face him. He could see the chain of emotions that appeared on her face as she realized who was talking to her. Shock, pain, sadness and lastly fear.

“I… I… I… thought…”

“You thought what, that you could get rid of me? Don’t make me laugh. You don’t honestly think that I’m that easy to get rid of do you? I promised that I would find you no matter where you went and I like to keep the promises I make especially the ones I make to such a luscious being as yourself.”

“B-b-but. How did you find me?”

“You mean your mother never told you how she got this acting gig? Sad really, really it is.”

“I… I don’t understand.”

“Once you guys left, your mother would call leaving details, a map basically, to all the places you have been and where you were headed to.”

“MY MOTHER! No I don’t believe you! Why are you telling me all these lies?”

“LIES! You know perfectly well that these are not lies. Princess you can’t live in denial about how self centered your mother is. You know she would do anything to become an actress eve…”

“NO! She wouldn’t, she wouldn’t do that, why would she. I’m her daughter she wouldn’t, would she? NO! Oh God.”

The girl felt overwhelmed with betrayal, she tried to stop the weeping that she could no longer control and looked up at the man with salt water stained cheeks. This man will take advantage of her situation and twist it so many ways to get what he wants from her, she couldn’t let him get to her.

“ I just hate breaking news to you like this Princess, I don’t like to see you sad but that’s exactly what happened. She needed a start on her career and I know people that could give her that start. I told you it was sad especially if you think about it and what she did trading her only daughter to pursue her dream and her happiness. HA HA HA! It’s crazy what some people would do just so that they can get what they want. Now get up, we’re going .”

“NO!”

“That wasn’t a question now get up! Get up now Princess!”

“NO I WONT GO WITH YOU and stop calling me Princess that’s not my name my name is SARAH!”

He reached for her but she pulled away and tried to get to her feet but it was no use he had already thrown his body onto hers. She struggled to get free but he weighed too much for her that she could no longer breath. gasping for air, she surrendered to his will and he got off her lingering quite a bit longer than he should have to admire the curves that her clothing gave only hints of, her scent made him go absolutely crazy. He held on to her arm ready to take her with him as he backed away from her, he stumbled over something and fell backwards. She saw a chance to run and took it. She ran and ran and ran and ran, she didn’t know where she was going but she didn’t care, she was finally getting away from it all. Away from her mother, away from that theatre, away from her prison, away from her illness, away from her uncle, and far, far away from becoming his Princess again. free and the illness that made her stomach swell was no longer an illness but an overpowering joy that will push her forward to a new start.
