This has happened to me before, it used to happen all the time when I was younger. Instead of staying back and being quiet and wanting people to notice you, try going up and saying hi to someone. :] I know it can be hard if you are shy and not much of a people person, but a few words can go a long way when you're trying to meet someone. Just my bit of advice, I know I've been through this but everyone's experience is different. All I can try to do is help :] Have a good turkey day tomorrow.
