what do you hide?

When your hearts so full,

Why don’t you let me

In is it something I shouldn’t know.

Why such a secret,

A door remained closed;

A secret little place,

Where emotions never show.

Is it for your husband

Who you loved for years;

You went through happiness

Bad time with tears.

A lover in your heart

Met once in awhile,

Held in his arms

With a kiss and smile.

A friend or foe

Who’s been there before

What’s in your heart

What is it you store.

Let me in your heart

To feel your soul

Let your bodies touch.

And our feelings show.

A touch here;

Or maybe there

When we’re apart

Days I can’t bear.

You don’t smile

At me anymore

Has your heart so empty

The love for me you stored

You’re a special friend

And you know that

Even till the end

You were near,

I was so far,

You knew our love would last

Even tho you know who you are

My words come last

In our long friendship

Even though at times

Then fell from my lips

I thought of me

And so did you.

But, as it drew to an end

You still remained true

There’s a rose in your eyes

With petals of love

Even tho their dim

It sparkles like the sun above

You pushed and

I always fell

My love for you

I cannot tell.

Words can’t describe,

My thoughts so dear

For the love of ours

Grew stronger with years

You’re a special friend

I know not why

When you’re not with me

I can only sigh

We had our times

Under the moon so gold

We held each other

Our love was so close

I’ll never forget you.

A word to the wise.

You’re a true friend

And that’s no lie

And now I know
