jerald looked through his stack of letters. his wife sent him an envelope full every week, she wrote everyday. she'd leave pretty music on his messages asking him remember how we used to look at the stars? he loved her, with all he had. he knew he fucked up. he used her, abused her. but now he realized she was always there for him, never let him down. supported him and fought for their marriage when she shouldve just walked away. found someone better, he wrote back to her just as much as she wrote to him, mostly being paranoid asking if there was someone else because he knew she deserved someone better than him, he wished he had listened to her more. stayed home that night. he wouldve been home right now, cuddling her, making love to her. fiona was an amazing woman with many amazing qualities. she reminded him of a fairy, obsessed with nature and its beauty, living in a fantasy world she sometimes liked to dress up. he admired her strength . he brought her, an innocent girl into a world of darkness and she didnt break. she fought with all she had, for their love, their marriage. she was the strongest girl he knew. so different, so attractive.he lately been reading the bible, praying to god he'd stay sober and return home to his wife. he promised to see his daughters, finally be a real dad. he lay down on the bed holding the letter to his chest. she wrote about a magical moment she experienced while taking a walk to the park one day. he missed those walks, holding her hand, being next to her. how could he have cheated on her, broke her heart and hit her. most the abuse he didnt remember, he was too high. he remembered bits and peices of her crying, screaming, he thought she was just crazy only to realize he was the one causing all of it, it was his fault. he was frightened that he would go to prison for years and never see her again. i just want to go home fiona, i promise things will be different this time
Fiona danced around the apartment giggling to herself and chasing her cats, music blaring in her headphones. its been almost 3 months since jd got arrested. so much had happened. she wrote to him every day, had to change her phone number so he could cal her. a private investigator had stopped her when she went to the jail to visit. informed her she wasnt allowed to keep contact with him because there was a danco, a no contact order in the case of domestic abuse. fiona had tried to get it dropped but the judge refused it. who keeps a married couple away from each other? with fiona if there was a will there most definitely was a way. she had him send letter to his cousin ashley, letters that were meant for her. she sent letters without giving a return address and her and jerald had code names. schmooskipoo and googlybear, fiona got the nicknames from monsters inc. not visiting was hard at first but she gotten used to it. being away from him period was hard but now things were getting easier, better. she felt happy, independant and strong. she realized when he gets out of jail she was gonna give him one more chance because he was sober. if he cheats or hits her again she would leave him. she realized how much happier she was now.
sebastion crept into her thoughts and she smiled, then gave a little chuckle. he had sent her a friend request on facebook than instantly liked a selfie of hers, the most ugly selfie too she thought. it was obvious he liked her. but many men were hitting on her, downright asked her to come spend the night with them . silly fools! she thought. something about sebastion stuck with her though, she felt bad that she was friends with everyone at work but barely knew him. she tried talking to him more, cracking lame jokes while he stared at her vacantly. he probably thought she was retarded. fiona laughed and spun around in a circle. her song had ended a while ago and she searched on her phone for a new one. today at work sebastion had showed her the surveys on the walmart employee website. usually when he talked to her it was about work, professional? maybe, she talked about work too with him, nothing about her personal life since he never said anything about his. she talked and laughed about all the crazy customers in the store. he never really smiled or laughed at her jokes. she noticed the chinese tattoos on his right arm. she wanted to run her hand over them but that was stupid. she probably was drawn to them cause she always wanted a chinese tattoo on her right wrist but was too chicken to get one. she was desperately afraid of needles. fiona was a puzzling character. despite all the abuse she went through she was happy. never could stay done for long, she was strong, willing to fight to the death for the ones she loved. she was emotional, could randomly cry for no particular reason at all. she was also savage. she stole alot from stores, mostly clothing stores. she wasnt sure why but she enjoyed the thrill. also was willing to fight anyone who hurt her or her closest dearest friends. she wasnt afraid to get in a fight even with a man. she didnt want to be this way, this is what jerald had done to her. fiona sat down, suddenly tired from her sudden burst of energy. so much jd had done that she wasnt sure she could ever recover from. she chose not to think about it. if you dont dwell on it its like it never happened...
Sebastion couldnt help but stare. this beautiful woman walked down the hallway of walmart, the most beautiful woman he ever seen. long flowing brunettte hair with a bright red peekaboo. her eyes and small plump lips is what captivated him most. her eyes reflected the light and were a sexy almond shape with perfectly curled lashed. even her voice was captivating as she talked to their coworkers, a slight lisp but also soft. sometimes a little confident. she turned and saw him, he quickly turned and walked away. its his first day of work, time to do what he was hired to do, which was manage the front end. he saw his coworker melly. "whats her name?" he nodded his head at the woman.
"oh, thats Fiona"
fiona, the name of a princess. of course that was her name. "is she single?"
melly gave a small smile "no, shes married"
of course, all the good ones were taken, he stared at her a little more, what type of woman was she? his heart twisted. of course, stuck up. she was laughing hard with their coworkers, giving off a huge air of confidence. no way she would talk to him. he sighed and checked his handheld for the millionth time, eventually they would talk, about business, she was his cashier and he was her new boss. never would they go on a date, or become friends. so he continued to do his best to ignore her for the next 3 months.
Fiona saw him, it mustve been his first day cause she never saw him before. short, old, wearing a walmart cap. but something about him piqued her interest. she was busy training in a few new managemant employees. she laughed with them cause why was she a simple cashier training in upper managemant on how to use a till? but it was a cool feeling. see, even people like her were important! shame on anyone who looked down on minorities. she looked at her new csm one more time. she secretly wished deep down she couldve trained him in too. she wanted to get to know him, be friends with him like she was with everyone else at walmart. but itd be weird to be like hey im fiona who are you? Sebastion, that was his name his name tag read, but as soon as the day was done she forgot he existed.
Fiona wiped tears from her eyes. here she sat, the dumb bitch who cried at jail visiting. not like it was her fault, Jerald cussed her out the whole time, demanding money. she didnt want to give him any money. he was addicted to meth for two years of their marraige and never paid a dime to help with bills. in fact he stole from her before. she had to hide her money in her hairbrush and cancel all her credit cards. as soon as payday came she cashed out her money from her pay card and put it in the bank. it was very stressful and took a toll on her. no, she wouldnt give him a cent. he cried, yelled and pleaded for her to give him money. then he could message her and call her everyday. which he already did somehow he got his cellmates to let him use their account. fiona left the jail feeling empty. was it so hard to just have a nice visit? sometimes the visits were nice and he was super sweet. he got mean though, especially when she told him about the fourwheeling accident and he went to lengths to blame her for it just like the rest of her family. her aunt had been driving drunk and rolled it and somehow it was her fault. life had always been this way for her. the black sheep, the one who would never be happy and at peace, she drove home, stepped out her vehicle feeling empty again, why couldnt JD just come home? she wanted to hold him and never let go. then she cried again. why was he so hard on her? why wasnt he happy when she visited? she was the only one who would visit him too. she ran in her apartment and grabbed her headphones quick. she put them in and jogged down the street. it felt good, jogging, working out. made her feel strong. the cool summer night air felt good and refreshing too. she was so alone. her family and most her close friends left her because of her husband. it wasnt fair to make her choose. he was her husband how could anyone say its either him or i? it was controlling and toxic. well, so was her marriage but they werent acting any better than him. fiona ran faster, feeling her blood pump in her veins. she was strong, she would get throught this
it was a dark cold winter night, nothing that bothered her for she adapted to cold easily. she was happy riding in the car with her best friend Jordan, talking shit about everyone they knew. talking shit or talking truth? F.AB. playing by jojo, singing loudly at the fake ass bitchh part. jordan drove down the back road she always did, and each time fiona looked at the tall house with the many windows. she pointed it out everytime, as well did Jordan. "look how many windows it has! can you imagine hide and seek or ghost hunting in that house?! i wonder what it looks like inside!" inside Fiona was hurting. she wanted to be happy with her husband oh so desperately. he was always hurting her and she didnt know why or what had gone wrong. one minute he was happy telling her how much he loved and needed her. the next he was hitting her, cheating on her telling her she was crazy and noone else would want to be with a bat shit crazy woman like her. she should leave, her mind deep down said. this is abuse, the bible justifys divorcing a spouse for this. but in heart she couldnt. she had to be there for him, through thick and thin, she was his wife, and she still was madly truly deeply in love with him, it would hurt worse to leave him so she could put up with his theatrics. she believed someday he would realize just how much she put up with and would love her even more, and they would live happily ever after. someday everything will be perfect and they would never hurt each other again and be happy. fiona looked out the window and saw the house with the many windows, not knowing not having a clue that 2 years later this house, this place will change her life forever.
fiona sat down with her cup of tea on the porch, alone, exhausted, her heart wrenching in pain. she stared at the clouds in the sky wishing, wanting, hoping that everything will be perfect, just right someday with her husband and he would come home, "i love you JD" she whispered. JD had gone to jail. meth charges, attempted robbery to a pregnant woman. the night before he got caught she knew he was leaving to smoke meth or help his meth head cousin deal. she chased him around the yard in circles, crying, begging, pleading "STAY HOME!" he wanted so bad to leave he kicked her hard, then apologized. she cried ignoring the sharp pain in her leg, it hurt yes but she ignored it for her love for him. she held up a dumbell to knock him out but quickly put in down, what if it killed him? she wouldnt dare risk that. she chased him around the yard again. "Please jerald stay home!" "youre crazy!" he shouted and ran down the street. she ran after him, crying, trying so hard to keep up with him. but before she knew it he was gone, dissappeared into the blackness. fiona stopped running, catching her breath which was very hard to do while crying. he was gone. she wanted to cry more. when will he back? and if he came back he would be high. she limped home, feeling the pain i her leg now. she slowly climbed into bed, holding her aching leg. her heart felt empty, raw. she just wanted him home, holding her.
Fiona touched her leg gently. it was still sore, an ugly dark purple and blue. JD would be in jail for a long time, he had be in jail a month before his recent arrest for almost killing her kitten which he eventually did kill, and also for domestic abuse. he wouldnt let her leave the house when she discovered her poor kitten shoved in a box almost dead with a head injury. did he hit the cat? or tried to snap its neck? she tried to breathe, panicking "WHAT DID YOU DO?! AGAIN?!!" he had killed many kittens she brought home, she'd leave the house for not even an hour and find the kitten in the trash, bloody, she kept bringing one home though, hoping he would like it. was it her fault? why did she keep bringing home these pets if she knew he did this? she had hoped that time wouldve been different. anger coursed through her body "i am taking this cat to the vet why would you do this?! WHY?!" he hit her, threw the cat-
Fiona shooke her head voilently, she couldnt think of this right now, couldnt live with it. long story short, he went to jail for 2 weeks and came out sober. he treated her differently that whole month, he was sweet, loving so supportive, she cried in his arms when one of her childhood friends left her... then he relasped again. it was the drugs. drugs made him this way, she knew this wasnt him. and when he got out, shed be there, take him to treatment and they would be oh so happy.
