Desperation heeds no warning
Stronger than the light of morning
Beauty not to be surpassed
By any man nor magic cast
Ruby lips and raven hair
Pallid skin—but just as fair
Radiance that vibrant glows
Glorious to shame the rose
Desperation heeds no plight
Darker than the depths of night
I am the Fount by which the earth drinks.
Drink of me the bad blood; make me pure.
When I am cleansed, I shall be worthy of prayer.
I pray for sleep…
Eternal sleep.
Join my prayer and we shall be one.
Pray to sleep, but never to wake.
Only then may you be free.
For when awake,
Entity reigns,
Thought presides.
In sleep,
May we dream.
In dreaming,
May we live only in fantasy,
In ecstasy;
Be blissful in our own reverie,
Our delusion of laughter.
Apathy protects us.
It protects us from reality.
So sleep…
Be peaceful in your illusion of red,
Your dream of crimson skin
And ice cold steel
And blindness.
Be content in your world of darkness.
Pray for no light to fall within,
Seek harmony with slumber…
Fall for the darkness
And never awake.
