She's afraid of what she was,
so she left it behind,
and now haunts her in the dark.
With her black, damp, wavy hair.
With her black clothing.
And with her blackened eyes.
Watching me every night,
and slowly killing me.
Breathing gets harder every day,
she can't take it.
A kiss that lingers on her lips.
Screaming that's ringing in her ears,
words imprinted in her brain, like a tattoo.
