Blocking the doorway was someone I had not seen since 1788. It was my younger brother and I knew at that moment the rumors of his being made a vampire were not a lie. I should have been able to sense whether the gossip was true or not, but he must have developed the keen ability of blocking certain things from other vampires. One glance at him and I knew his sire was his own nephew, Malcolm. With tears in my eyes, I said, "I am so glad to see you and am glad you are here." "Where else would Countbloodlust be? My maker and my nephew is in a bit of a bind and I am here to help. I was in Paris enjoying myself, since it is my favorite hunting ground." he said. He was dressed in such a way that suggested he was rich and cultured. He had always been my favorite brother. Fighting bravely in the American Revolution, he was always one up for a good brawl. " I hate to break up this little family reunion, but I am sure we need to get a move on, Lolita." Ira siad impatiently. He was getting frustrated with me. "Wait one more moment" I told Ira. He knew when to back off. "Will you stay here and make sure the humans who are coming around noon do not get to Malcolm? Make sure Lori and her group restrict the carnage to what is needed. I do not want them taking out the whole block. Call me if you need me. I will come or send someone else who can help. Malcolm said that Armand is here. So, you have some major help there." I hastily said. "I know this Lori that you speak of. She is a bad vamp, but if I can hold off the British Army, she will be a piece of cake." countbloodlust replied. "We need to go now, " Ira stated, He pulled me towards the door by the arm of my dress. My brother moved away from the doorway. He let EmpresZoey pass. "You are one to talk, Ira. You can talk non-stop. Noone can get you to make a move when you are conversing with someone you find interesting." she replied. I noticed that EmpresZoey was half-way our the door and in the process of turning into a wolf. Ira changed into a bat in the twinlking of an eye. I followed him out the door. Turning to look back, once I was in the front yard, I saw my brother. He winked at me and closed the door. I changed my form to that of a bat and made my way to Austin with the other two. |
I left the parlor with the not so pleasant task of finding Ira. He has the tendency to want to visit with too many vampires, when they are gathered in one place. I did not relish the thought of dragging him away from one of his conversations. I entered a room where Malcolm keeps all the momentos from his travels. He has a wall of maces from the medevial period and another wall of art that he has collected over the years. Malcolm has excellent taste in paintings. Mikhail has been generous to Malcolm over the years. Malcolm owes some of his art work from both ancient Greece and Rome to Mikhail. In the room I found Ira talking to EmpresZoey. EmpresZoey is Cadamia's youngest daughter and one of the most beautiful vampires to ever roam the earth. Many a mortal man has lost his heart to her. "Lolita, may I come with you and Ira to speak to the govenor? I will not get in the way and I do not care to stay here with Lori and her lot." EmpresZoey asked. She was dressed in what some people would describe as the modern day goth look. There is nothing modern about the gothic look. It has been around for a long time. "I have no problem, if Ira has no objections." I replied. I noticed that Malcolm had acquired a new Piassco. He is always finding something to purchase. One would think Malcolm would have ran out of money by now. Only his investing skills would amaze anyone on Wall Street. He got in on the ground floor of Microsoft. I turned that one down. Who knew? "I see that Lolita and Cadamia's plans are well known by now. Let's hope everyone does what is required of them and noone interferes where they are not needed. I have no objections. We must travel fast. Daylight is approaching. Daylight does not bother me, but Lolalita only has five hours until she must find a coffin." Ira responsed. "Then let's go. Daylight does not bother me either. Lolita and I both own houses in Austin which is where we will find the govenor." EmpresZoey said. "I want to speak to MizTheAngryDrukenDwarf before we go." I said."I have some final instructions for him." "You are too late, LolitaMarie, He left a few minutes ago. You can call him or I will." Ira answered. Damn, I thought. Why can't that dwarf stay put for longer than a few hours? I needed to tell him something. "Never mind. I will tell the first vampire I see on my way out the door." I say. We make our way to the front door. We were not off to see the wizard, but we had some news for the govenor that would not make him happy. There was not a wicked witch we could kill for him to smooth things over. |
"Lolita, do you think that talking to Anna will help?", Cadamia asked." I mean she is a nurse. Think of the things she could do as a vampire. She will live long enough to see medical advances beyond her wildest dreams." "I agree, but I cannot be the one to talk to her." I replied. I sensed that our cormer of the parlor was no longer undeserted. I was right. Malcolm was standing right in front of me. "Cadamia, you are good at convincing mortals of what is best. I am not concerned with myself at the moment. Lori is dead set against letting Anna live as a mortal. It is either turn or die in her book." Malcolm said. He was still gloomy, but more hopeful than he was a few moments ago. "It always falls on me to convince the mortals. I really wish one of you would develop a talent for it. Lolita here loses all patience too quickly and Malcolm you are , well you know how you are. For once, you are worried about someone else besides yourself. There is hope yet. Has Lestat contacted you personally?" Cadamia asked. The look on Malcolm's face let me know that he would not answer that question. He was avoiding the subject of Lestat for some reason. If he did answer it. both Cadamia and I knew he would lie. "It is neither here or there that Malcolm is being contacted by Lestat. I am not worried about him. I am more worried that Armand got irked by all of this. He is fair, but once his ire is up, he can be deadly," I responded. "Mama, Armand is here and he understands. He is very passionate as you know, " Malcolm said laughing. That statement seemed to amuse Cadamia. I was not amused. I wish Mikhail, the ancient was there. He could have let them have it for being entertained by that remark. "What do with do with those coming to kill Malcolm?" Cadamia asked. "As much as I hate to say this, let Lori and her bunch handle that. Go get Anna away from them and turn her quickly. I will contact the govenor of Texas and explain things. Malcolm get in your coffin and stay there. If one of those mortals disturbs you, then they get what they asked for." I said. My head was pounding at that point. Malcolm had many houseguests and they had gotten wind of what was going on in the parlor. Most seemed to be pleased with the solution. Many vampires prefer educated mortals to be turned. I agree. There is no need to have simpletons among our ranks. Cadamia walked towards the front door to find Anna. Malcolm made his way upstairs to his coffin. I went to find Ira. so we could find the govenor and make him aware of what was going on. |
Making our way rather swiftly through the residental district, Ira, Cadamia and I did not converse with each other. A couple of times, I noticed Ira glance at me and Cadamia and just smirk. I do not like it when another vamp does that. I tried to read his mind, but I was consumed with a fear for Malcolm that made anything else a little difficult. Finally, we came to a large Victorian house. I could sense the presence of other vampires. Apparently, Cadamia did too. She did not look too happy about it. "It would be like Malcolm to have a damn party at a time like this." Cadamia angryily said. Her face was almost red. This was something to see, since she is one of the palest vampires I have ever met. "This is no party, dear Cadamia, It is more like protection courtesy of Armand and Lestat." Ira replied. He was walking up the front steps and was in the process of opening the door, when I stopped him. "Look here! Lestat better not be here. His influence is not good for Malcolm, He is a annoying pest who meddles too much for my taste." I practically screamed. If lLestat was in the house, he knew of my arrival. "And to think Lestat is quite fond of you." Ira said, opening the door and walking inside. Cadamia was unnerved. She had no previous problems with Armand, but Lestat was another problem altogether. She will have to reveal all the details of their encounters. I try to say as little about Lestat as I can. Speak of the devil and he will appear. Cadamia and I followed Ira and went inside. The house was so dark that an ordinary human would have been unable to see. I made my way to the parlor and ran right into Malcolm. He was sitting in a chair with his back to me. I could tell he was uneasy about something. Standing next to him was MizThe AngryDrukenDwarf. "Lolita, I have tried to explain to Malcolm that it is not wise to keep Anna, the nurse alive. She knows too much and does not wish to be a vampire." Miz said. There were tears in Malcolm's eyes. Each teardrop was a drop of blood that was staining his whire shirt. Malcolm always dressed to the nines until the late eighties. That is 1988. Then, he preferred to clothe himself as some hoodlum. I bent down to look Malcolm closer in the face." Malcolm you know the risks of revealing your true nature to a human. Even a human youl love. I am sorry but Anna has put you at a great risk." I gently told him. Cadamia had entered the room. Noone knew where Ira had gone to and at that point did not really care. Malcolm got up from the chair and turned to look at Miz, Cadamia and me. He was still crying and the next words sounded like an explosion of fury coming from his mouth. "Noone will touch a hair on Anna's head! I will personally destory the vampire who does and will see to it their coven suffers," Malcolm bellowed. He sat back into the chair which I noticed he had brought from one of his houses in Europe. He sluimped in the chair and became as despondent as I first saw him. "See, I told both Ira and Lori that this is useless. There is no talking to this boy. He is dead set in his ways and he is going to be the end of us all. I really like him and empathize with his dilemma, but what has to be done must be done," said Miz. With that, Miz walked out of the parlor and into another room. He began to speak with Lori. Cadamia and I went to a deserted section of the parlor to talk. We both knew that Malcolm would have to accept that something had to be done with Anna. Cadamia had an idea that seemed promising. |
As Cadamia and I entered Dallas, we immediately switched back into our regular forms. I was annoyed that we still had two hours before sunrise. I was ready to get this business over with and return to my seat in the jazz club. Cadamia was looking angry. I sensed she was wanting to sleep and not be bothered by anyone. Malcolm had bought a house in Dallas. He has houses and apartments all over the world. Sometimes I think he collects homes like most people would collect stamps or rare coins. Only Malcolm is not most people. He is a vampire and a mischief making one at that. As Cadamia and I made our way to Malcolm's house, we passed a man on the street. At least I thought it was a man. I did a doubletake. It was a person from my life before I was a vampire. Then I realized they could not possibly be alive and that they had to be one of the undead. Cadamia was staring at them too. We had stopped in the middle of the street like two retarded children with our tongues hanging out. Ira Matthews had been a freed slave when I knew him. He was one of the few former slaves that knew how to read and write. I was impressed by the fact that his time in slavery did not make him bitter or hateful. All he wanted to do was find a little land. farm and have a family. The last time I had seen him it was three days before I met my sire. Cadamia was trying to get his attention. He was staring in a shop window looking at a toy train. We walked behind him and I put my left hand on his shoulder. "Ah! That has to be Lolita and Cadamia. Lori said you would come." Ira said without turning around. I removed my hand from his shoulder, but did not respond. He slowly turned around and I saw that he was a vampire. He still wore clothing from the 1700's. "Lolita, you look suprised that I am still around. Did you think you and Malcolm were the only ones made at the time?" he asked. "No, but what happened to your plans?" I asked. " I decided that being undead was better than what I had waiting for me as a freed slave." he replied. "How in the world do you know Lori?" Cadamia asked. "Follow me to Malcolm's house and all will be explained." he said. And with that we all started on our journey to the residental district to find Malcolm. |
Part two of this tale is mainly to debunk some vampire myths some humans hold a factual. A raving lunatic named Bram Stoker and another one named Van Helsing (I have ran into this creature. He is not as deadly or brave as he would lead you mortals to believe. Oh and Buffy is just a story.) put out some misconceptions that I would like to squash at this time. First of all, you cannot kill a healthy active vampire by driviing a stake through their heart, That will basically piss them off. If a vampire feeds on a regular basis, a stake will not do nothing. Only those who have not fed in awhile or who choose to live off small animals will die in this manner. Not all vampires will die in direct sunlight. That is just a flip of the coin. Sunlight is not my friend and it is not Malcolm's either. Both Cadamia and Lori move around in the daytime as well as the night. Crufixes do not repel or scare most vampires. A few vampires still believe in an Almighty. Whethe they respect him is another matter altogether. Not all vampires turn into bats. Some prefer to be other animals. It just depends on the vampire. Malcolm cannot be killed by a stake through his heart, but invading his coffin is a big no-no. He must ask you to enter the room where he keeps his coffin or you will find yourself dead if you are a mortal. He is not one to like distrubances when he is resting. End of Part 2 |
Some of the stories in here will be about my son and fellow vampire Malcolm. Sometimes I do not take an active part. At all times, I can zero in on Malcolm and know everything that is going on with him. It is much like a movie that plays in my mind. There are times that I have to stop what I am doing and rush to his side. Malcolm has the tendency to get himself in serious trouble. He was eleven when he was made. Since he is physically taller than most eleven year olds, he is considered much older than his actual human age. There are times he behaves more like his vampire age and then there are times that he is going to act like the human child he was. In the fall of 1963, I was living in New Orelans and quite enjoying myself. I had fallen in with a group of jazz musicians and spent most evenings at a local jazz club. Malcolm had set up housekeeping in Dallas, Texas and was spending his nights hunting for prey and interfering with mortals. He had also fell in with some coven that seemed to keep him out of trouble. So, I thought that I would have some time to relax and not spend the majority of my time cleaning up his messes. Apparently, Malcolm met a beautiful young mortal that he just thought he was in love with. Her name was Anna and she worked as a nurse at Parkland Hospital. Malcolm had been stalking her one night and thought at first she would make a good feed. As he began to follow her, he decided to observe her. The more he watched her, the more he thought he was in love. He got the grand idea that he would let her know his true nature and convince her to join him. That way they could be together forever. I should have know something was up, when he took a night job at the hospital. Malcolm is allergic to work. He is quite wealthy and since all his material needs are more than met, he is not going to earn any kind of money by the sweat of his brow. He was working to get next to Anna. She worked the night shift. Since I was out of town. Malcolm did not see where I would be a problem. He was right. Jazz music is still to this day one of my favorite things to listen to. I would not have moved a muscle from my chair in the jazz club, if Cadamia had not paid me a visit. The club was closing for the night and I was on my way home. My coffin was calling me and I was in need of a rest. I stepped out on the street and right in front of me was Cadamia. This time her hair was bright red and all the way to her behind. I was taken aback that her hair was that long. Normally, she wears it short. "Well, my friend. To what do I owe the pleasure?', I asked. I was suprised to see Cadamia. The last time we spoke, she had said she was going down for a nice long sleep. The sixties did not agree with her and she was not down with the hippie movement either. I for one slept during the seventies. I could not tolerate bell bottoms or disco music. The only time I awaken was to aid Malcolm or when Cadamia called me. "Look this is not a pleasure trip. Malcolm has messed around and let some mortals know his secret. He tried to turn a human girl who just so happens to be related to the govenor of Texas." Cadamia said. She seemed angry at Malcolm for getting into this jam. "Is he okay or am I correct in assuming he is in some danger here?" "The people at the hospital are planning on entering his home at noon tomorrow and driving a stake in his heart." "Does Malcolm have this house darken enough so he can be up and about during daylight?" I asked Cadamia. "I have no idea. I have not been there. I have been asleep and would have liked to have stayed that way. Only Lori called me. She got worried about him." "And if left to her own devices she will kill the whole hospital and not have mercy on anyone. To her they are just miserable creatures. Not deserving life." I replied. Lori was a fellow vampire and belonged to the same coven as Connie. She was made in 1790 by Malcolm. He liked her attitude. Both of them believe that most people are stupid and the empathy for them is not strong. I have been baffled gy some of the things they have done. They have no qualms about revealing the whole lot of our kind if it means taking out some humans they deem useless. "Well, it is on to Dallas, my friend," I tell Cadamia. "If I know Lori, she is already there and she is ready to kill as many as needed to protect Malcolm and our kind. Maybe we can stop some of the bloodshed." "And possibly stop Malcolm from being disclipined too harshly by his coven." Cadamia added. "You mean Malcolm actually joined a coven?' I asked Cadamia, right before I transformed myself into a bat. "Yeah and most of them are as clueless as Malcolm at times.' Connie replied. She quickly became a bat off we were to Dallas. End of Part 1 |
Normally, I hunt only once a night. For some reason, I was especially hungry last night and wanted to feed three times. The first two kills were my basic fare. I seem to have some sympathy for women who are being abused by their husbands. Maybe it is because my marriage, while I was still human, was anything but happy. I cannot recall if my husband hit me, since the last time I saw him was in 1776. I doubt he is still alive and I hope noone made a vampire out of his useless behind. My last kill was at three am this morning, I got bored sitting at home and decided to take a stroll. I ended up walking into a dark alley and found myself face to face with a man who I knew was the lowest form of humanity I could find. One look at him and I knew he was a child molester. I gave birth to two children, before I ceased being human. One was a girl who was left as a human. My son, Malcolm, was 11 at the time and begged my maker to make him a vampire. He does not live with me. After all these years, he is able to fend for himself. I got the sense for the man in the alley that he had a child hidden for his sexual purposes. The description of this man is not important, He was a normal looking human who would not stand out in a crowd. The man did not notice me, which was not a suprise. Once I go to stalking my prey they usually do not notice me until my fangs are in their neck. So, I decided to follow this guy through the alley and around the corner. He came to a little shop and stopped. I noticed he had keys and was attempting to unlock a door. Once he unlocked the door, he walked inside. I decided to remain outside for a few moments. The wind begin to pick up and I thought I sensed the presence of another vampire. I was right. To the left of me, stood my son, Malcolm, and my friend, Cadamia. Now, Malcolm has a fierce thirst for blood. I have often thought that it must be that he was child when he was made. I knew if he got to the guy, he would go in for the kill and prevent me from saving the child. Cadamia has always been good at picking up on my thoughts, so it did not take long for her to realize that Malcolm would be a majpr hinderance. "Hey, Malcolm. Don't you have a taste for drunks? There is a club a few blocks down the street. Why don't you go and get a table? Your mother and I will join you in a few moments?", Cadamia asked Malcolm. I noticed that she had dyed her hair orange or changed it some other way to that color. "Sure. I am hungry. And the drunks are such easy victims. No problem there." Malcolm replied with a devilish grin on his face. He loved to go into bars and since he was tall for your normall eleven year old, many women thought he was a young man in his late teens or early twenties. He seemed to enjoy toying with young women who wanted to get with him. Malcolm left us and made his way to the club. I love my son, but sometimes he will interfere in ways that will cause problems. He is the main reason I have an entire coven after me. Some other time i will tell you what happened and how Malcolm stirred up a bunch of vampires. I do not think he meant it, but he sure cause alot of trouble. Cadamia asked me if we were going to enter the store or stand outside all night. She is a person of action and has kept a soft spot for children, since becoming a vampire. "Give me a moment. I am trying to tell if the child he is hiding is here or in another place," I answered. Finally, I opened the door and we made our way inside. Since, I can move without making a sound and Cadamia is just as good at being quiet, the man at the counter did not notice us entering the store. We were right in front of him, before he looked up from his paperwork. "The store is closed," he said and he turned back to his paperwork. I am suprised that he did not notice or make a comment about how Cadamia was dressed. She has a habit of wearing period clothing at times and looked like a lady from the Victorian Age. I am more modern. If he had seen, Malcolm he would have thought he was being robbed. Malcolm has the tendency to dress like a hoodlum. I grabbed the man by the neck and politely asked him,"Where is the child? I will break your neck right now." Cadamia had left the counter. A backroom had caught her attention. The man seemed suprised that a mere woman could have the strenght to pick him off the floor with one hand. I threw him against a wall and followed Cadamia. In the backroom, we noticed three cots. On the cots. bound and gagged were boys ranging from the ages of 17 to 19. Cadamia immediately went to untying the boys and I flew back into the other room to destroy the man who held them captive. When I swooped down on him, my mouth immediately landed on his neck. As. I drank his blood., I saw the face of every child he had every harmed. I knew then that the children were kept as sex slaves until he was bored with them and would be killed. I learned the location of where the bodies were buried. When I was done feeding, I wiped my mouth, and went back into the room with Cadamia and the boys. One look let me know that Cadamia had made three more vampires. That is so like her. If someone does not have power, she will get it to them. She will make those who have had to live with severe mistreatment from other humans a vampire so they will never know that mistreatment again. "Look take this boys to the club. I am sure Malcolm will get a kick out of them," I tell Cadamia. My only desire was to get to a phone to let the police know where at least forty bodies of young boys were buried. Cadamia must have read my mind. "I have my cellphone. I suppose you have misplaced yours again. You can call on the way to the club. I will not leave you alone. You react badly to this kind of thing. You know you do. I do not want you to go on a killing spree tonight, because you think human beings are not worth saving after one of them does something like this. Plus, the coven that is after you will know it was you who did it. Are you trying to be found?" "Not particularly. Do I look like Lestat to you?", I ask. I know I have no choice but to hang out at the club until about a hour before sunrise. |
I just joined this site this evening. One of my co-workers turned me on to this site. I will see if I enjoy my stay here. I am a vampire and do not take to kindly to be called a whelp, but since this is the rules of the site, I will deal. Most of my journal will be stories about my vampire life. My life before was dull and is not very important. Maybe if you are lucky, I will tell you some details of my former life. I have listed my birthdate as 03/28/71. but I am really much older. I am trying to avoid being found by a group of vampires I pissed off about thirty years ago. The whiny little beasts. It was really a minor incident and why they are still holding a grudge I do not know. |
