As my body rests

Against this wall

I think of you

And how I fall

Every single time

But you don’t know

So I write this rhyme

About love so true

It cannot hide

Oh to tell you

I have tried

But I cannot

Find a way

Although I think

About it everyday

I think I may

I think I might

Have found the courage

To tell you tonight

But as I approach

What do I see

You with a man

And he’s not me

So I stand

So very still

You never knew

And never will

And as you kiss

This other man

My mind creates

Another plan

About death so true

It ends this pain

So I walk away

As it starts to rain

Just one more thing

To ruin this day

It’s now screwed-up

Through my door

I walk so slow

This pain inside

Out the back

A new calm in me

I grab the blade

I can’t control

On this life

I try to live

So with this knife

Love I gave

To you so free

I tried to be brave

So you couldn’t see



All the pain

That you caused me

I can’t explain

The tears I cried

When I was alone

You know you lied

Words set in stone



I love you

You said to me

But that’s untrue

Now all can see



How you ripped

Out my heart

The scale was tipped

From the start



Towards you

Your wants and needs

Because you were untrue

My heart bleeds



So as this knife

Cuts into my chest

The sweetest dreams

Of blood red streams
