Sometimes guys don't know what they want, sometimes they like the idea of trying to get it and then it's no fun whenever they do. But believe me, there are some decent men in the world, but they never come to you when you're looking for it. Just be highly picky about who you want to be with, test them a little, take things slowly because rushing in never is a smart thing to do. Guys also take longer to mature than women, but that too depends on how they were raised. Just don't accept anything less than what you know you want.
