Sometimes people will wait all their lives for someone or something to just pop up in their lives and give them the adventure of their lifetime.

But in these day the odds of that happening are right on the mark of well, never. So people begin to waste away never taking a chance, hoping some person or thing is going to do that for them.

I suppose some history is in order here. During the transition into the twentieth century the government posted a end of the world situation; that all technology will shut down and that the earth will be plunged into a primitive age once again, it was called WYTK. People thought that the world would really end and that itself cause them to riot in the cities, stealing anything they could get their hands on. They did this without thinking of any repercussions; i mean hey, to them, the world was supposed to end.

Then we arrived in 2000 and still technology reined supreme; it hadn't, as the government predicted, shut-down. So people were left to face the consequences of their actions, spending nights in jail and others, years.

Even though technology hadn't shut down like they had predicted, something else did happen. This event came unseen to any human on earth. A select few people were, as you say, in the wrong place at the wrong time.

An elite team of marine soldiers were investigating an unusual occurrence in the depths of a cave in the rocky mountains. This team consisted of four females and three males, who knew each other well,seeing as they had spent most of their time within the marines together, working on top secret missions along side one another.

They didn't know about the WYTK issue sweeping the country; they were deep in the cave finding stores of stashed dynamite and drawings. They reported in to their commanding officer about the discovery, and during that transmission they were cut off as a series of waves shot from deeper within the cave and rendered the communication severed.

The story begins as they awake from the ordeal still deep within the bowels of the cave...
