walking alone in the rain

i wander these empty streets

there is no one here to share my sorrow

my pain



walking alone through the fire

i wander through this empty hell

no one here to share my hopes, my dreams

my desire



worthless i wander, unwanted

there is no point to me

beaten, taunted

no one can truly love me

i sit here alone watching the world go bye

just waiting for the die

i will never be like them

i will never be happy, all i know is pain



smiling they all pass by

no one sees me as i cry

i just once want to be seen

but no one can see the tears, falling in the rain

i close my eyes trying to think

of giving up i am on the brink

no words seem to come to me

as though my imagination

is suddenly under lock and key

i pick up the pen to try again

but suddenly on the page i see

these words of my frustration

written so delicately

it was then at last i realized

my poetry is not the rhymes or words

my poetry is me

taken by your eyes i come to you

this feeling i have never felt before

you take me in your arms

and my heart forgets to beat



this feeling is so new

I want you to take me

i can wait no more

hold me tightly

make me yours



I watch as you come to me

how someone so perfect me

could consider me i never will know

but something isn't right



the closer you come the colder i feel

surely this can not be real

suddenly fear fills me

but from your grasp i can't break free



suddenly the light

begins to fade

as i feel your thorns wrap around me

i can not break free

i can not fight



what kind of man are you

no one knows

but when you reach me

i can fight no more

i close my eyes and sleep

as my soul slips into the deep

all of me belongs to you

my lord of the black rose

the skies darken

as you realize all you've done

please listen to my call

repent and change before you fall

into a deeper realm of darkness



all disquises are stripped away

not one angel chose to stay

you are on your own with the demons



the clouds begin to rain down fire

your soul begins to burn

all you ever had and desired

has been taken from you

you feel a pain that's new



a man stands beside you

his eyes to the skies

"and so it begins" he says

as he begins to cry

"what is happening" you scream

though the answer you already know

the earth, the sky, and the dragons that fly

have all begun to cry

for the darkness of men now rules this world

and all will pay for their sins

I know

I know what these people think of me

I refuse to be like them

I have been through the darkness and the fire of hell

I refuse to hide in a shell

Though my blade and fangs are dripping with bright red sin

I will not go back again

I raise my blade

Lightning strikes and shows me what I have to face this night

I race forward and begin to fight

There is too much for this lone dragon

join me and help me fight this darkness

help save our children from this living hell

don't let them be a prisoner of this world

give me a reason

to keep on trying

there is nothing left for me

as i lay here crying

trapped by your gaze

i can not get free



give me a reason

to keep on living

when what i've done

can not be forgiven



you look at me now

such disgust in your eye

no reason to go on now

why can i not just die

its so hard to go on

and no one

can give me a reason to try

bleeding and burning i crawl

i will not be broken

outside silent inside screaming

my body goes numb as i'm bleeding

beaten and bloody I ask you

are you ready

I rip off my blazing shirt

showing no sign that i am hurt

full of pain and rage i charge

as my tears fall with the rain



they told me to drop it but i will not stop

even now i charge onward

as i am dying

this body can't take much more

but into battle with my people

my spirit will soar

let all the world hear our battle cry

for our spirit will never die

i can feel the flames

burning deep in my heart

he laid his hands on her

his death will be an art

i set out now to complete my masterpiece



I follow him silently listening

this will not be over quickly

I drive my blade into his leg

as he begins his screaming

his blood flows quickly

the trail is set, you can not hide



the scent of blood intoxicating

someone please tell me i am dreaming

my left arm bound by thorns

my heart is screaming



a new day of torture is dawning

my right arm now bound by chains

someone save me, my heart is bleeding



the demons are all around me laughing

and the angels send nothing but their scorn

someone help me, for i am dying



silently i lie here praying

for an end to all this pain

when a man appears silently crying

he says "take this gift and suffer no more,

accept this gift and fly with me forevermore"

and then at my feet, a black rose, he placed so tenderly

and now finally, I am free

gone in the middle of the night

thought you would be free

but you can not escape me



the darkness surrounds you

i am here

and now you will know true fear



don't try to fight

let it all slip away

for either way, you will not see another day



you will be mine

your mind, your body, your soul

all of you will be mine

can you see them

watching and listening

pulling your strings like a puppet



can you see them

whispering and laughing

mocking you while you struggle

worry no more for i am here



can you see them now

running and screaming

terrified of every movement and sound



see the light in their eyes

slowly fading

as they are bleeding and burning
