In one hand the rose in the other the thorn.

Both can punish, yet only one can heal.

The rose has petals like blood

The thorns turn red as the blood pours from my skin

The rose smells of sweet perfume.

The thorns take the scent of the flesh they tare.

The roses lay around me but so do the thorns

For one cannot exist without the other.

So which one heals is it the rose of red or the thorn that tares my flesh?
