Cause the darkness might hear.

Slithering whispering thoughts my dear,

Filtering through your ears.



Calling you, beckoning you,

To follow them through the night,

They saw your tears, tasted your sorrows,

Even with your protective light.



And stop, wait! Don't get too close!

If they touch you they won't let you go!

They'll keep you in their embrace,

For an eternity or so.
