Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steakhouse review

The service was excellent, the wait staff attentive and friendly. However, I would have liked the option to add a $8.95 bottle of spring water to my dinner bill before it is poured at my table. Tap water or other drink options should be offered first at that cost.
The special had to be explained to me since there was no menu for the specials of the night. I would have liked the opportunity to read the description for myself to consider the ingredients and preparation.
The shrimp cocktail was amazing. The size and presentation were the best I have ever seen. The cocktail sauce had more kick to it than I've had, and that made the shrimp taste even more delicious. The appetizer was a highlight of the meal.
The filet medallions served in three different styles was a nice dish, and the server asking to check the steak doneness prior to leaving the table was great; never had that type of service at a steak house. However, I did have to work a bit to slice what should have been a tender cut of steak (filet mignon).
The a la carte sides are definitely big enough to share, and were very good.
The layered lemon cake at the end was another great part of the meal, and it was on the house since it was my birthday.
The experience overall was good, but I expected more from the main dish (steak at a steakhouse) given the cost.

Dwellers: The Curse of Pastor Stokes

Dwellers: The Curse of Pastor Stokes review

Where do exorcized spirits go after being banished from the bodies they inhabit? Some say they follow the priests back to their church and make their new home there.

Probably being overly-generous here compared to others most likely, but I have to give extra credit for taking such a generic and beaten to hell bag of tropes such as the possession/exorcism trench and injecting some interesting ideas and effective moments into it, something hundreds try and fail at every goddamn year. There's an intriguing hook to it once you get into the meat of the film, one that makes you ask "Yeah, where the hell do they go?" about all the other same such movies you've seen. It never quite pays off as well as you want it to, but at least that effort is there. The scare scenes, especially the beginning babysitter ones, offer up some fun tricks… more

I give it ⭐⭐⭐
