What power would you want, if you could have one?

I swear I think about this question more than I think about what I'm having for dinner that night. There's just so many possibilities for so many situations it makes you want to change your answer every few hours.

Stretch is always my first go to. Grab things without getting out of my seat? Yes please. Grab things off the highest shelf without needing to get my step-ladder? (I never knew my real ladder) Oh you betcha. Even beyond that you can go pretty nuts with this power. Moving organs around to different places, creating what is effectively an attached clone of yourself to get more things done, though that does depend on the type of stretch power you've got goin.

Invisibility always comes up with people. And let's be real, it's not chosen because they've got crippling social anxiety and want not to be seen in public when they have a panic attack (though that's a good use). It's for the peeping. It's always for the peeping. But Invisibility also comes with it's faults, depending on who's writing it. Do YOU have to be naked, because it only makes you invisible but not what you're wearing? Or can you choose to bring things you touch with you into the veil of obscurity you're creating?

Super Speed is no different, really. What good is being able to move at 400 mph to grab a beer from the fridge if you're going to shatter your hand opening the door because you don't have super durability to back up hitting something at an insane speed like that? Or some speed force nonsense to stop you from just... lighting yourself on fire?

Hell, Teleporting isn't even safe. Teleporting on it's own is perfectly fine, it's when momentum gets involved that you need to watch out. Without the ability to also transfer or manipulate your momentum, well you're gonna break some bones. There's a circumstance in an X-men comic I remember from back when that I always think of. Someone falls out of the jet and Nightcrawler teleports out to catch them. When he catches them they're both now falling at terminal velocity towards the ground, but then he teleports them back into the jet and they're both fine. If he didn't have the ability to change his momentum between teleports, he and the person he saved would have appeared 1 foot above the floor of the X-jet, and promptly splattered all over the group.

As for the answer to the question, it depends on the day. Today's so bright and sunny, nice and beautiful out, I'd definitely choose flight. Let's get on up there and see what's making those birds so happy in the morning. And maybe fight a goose, bring them down a peg. Fuckin geese thinking they're all tough.

This ended up being more rambling than a coherent train of thought, but it's my first journal entry and I make the rules right? Sure, we'll go with that.
