Actually this is my favorite topic ever! No, vampires do not live forever. Even this planet will not live forever, much less vampires, right?!
Now, my belief about Eternal Life is the one from the Bible. I believe we can really live forever from that perspective... Any other perspectives about eternal life, outside the bible, seems to me are very improbable or viable.
But that is why we are here, to learn from each other and state our opinions and knowledge. So please keep in mind that this is a hot topic with many different faiths.
I'm not here to change anyone minds or faiths, I just want to know more of your perspectives about such matters.
In my mind, I assume that almost any person in this world, dead, alive, or yet to be born, would love to live forever. In a world were that could be possible, let's say: in a perfect world!
Now, the eternal life mentioned in the bible is as simple as this:
We must die first, and then, the ones who lived a good moral life, and believed in the word of God, will resurrect and receive new bodies. This one would not last long... So, we will receive new bodies with the amazing capability of enduring forever and ever. A never ending life!
But the most outstanding thing, and this is what really matters to me, that we will be what we are now. Not what we do, our professions or whatever. But our unique personalities, our unique being. No one will ever be like you... Ever! It doesn't exist anyone like you, never existed and never will. We are unique in our own time on earth. What we are, our unique personality, our dreams, our likes, and dislikes, and even most of our memories will be with us for all eternity.
Now, I'm not saying that this is what will happen for sure, but this is what I believe; and for me, this is the best Eternal Life I can dream of. Any other way, any other kind of eternal life that I read about, simply doesn't say anything to me. If I cannot be what I am now... Then it doesn't matter at all.
We are a lifetime of unique experiences. The things we see and hear, the people we know along the journey, the education we get, our thoughts, emotions, and dreams, shapes us into who we are today. We can change our perspectives about things, about life; we can interpret life the way we want, but we cannot change an absolute TRUTH. Denying that there are absolutes, is a road to nowhere. And I would love very much to get there... Eternity!

I believe that there is something after this life - that our spirits live on in some way, shape or form but what that is, I have no idea.~Mina
