Salvation

I wasn't looking and I fell,

All at once, bound for hell

I was lost, broken, bruised and beat

And for all that I fought,

Could not get to my feet.

I screamed at the darkness,

Devour me Whole,

For I felt that there was no light

Ever in my soul

Screams of banshees

Haunted my dreams

Ash filled my soul

Fire raged around me

And I was never whole

All that I wanted

was some small relief

An angel, maybe

To get me back on my feet

As I lay gasping,

And as filled my lungs

I knew that the end,

Had finally come.

I could see it in the darkness,

The figure in black,

And finally I knew

I could never go back.

Eternal torment,

Salvation

Damnation,

No matter my screams,

I was down below.

I fell to my knees,

hot tears on my cheeks,

I bowed to my savior

Crying and weak.

Slowly he touched me,

Opened my soul,

And now through that torment,

I am finally whole.

A new weapon was forged,

For something dear,

Was taken from me

And I wanted fear.

Destruction, Devastation

Forever in my wake,

For my savior is calling,

Now get out of my way!
