Middle of night, center of darkness, the room is illuminated by nothing but a cathode ray tube. It glows and recedes, probing my pupils to take in the world behind a pane of curved glass.



Screams accompanied by a splash of brick-redness dance around in this stage set in a box in the corner of the room.....and in my head. The slow, creeping text to inform me who was responsible for this macabre horror rolls from the depths of the screen.....but it is not over. Another one begins.



Dark corridors and stairways. Torches. Hairy beasts. The living dead. The unrelenting spirits from beyond. Bats. Rats. Snakes. Serpents. It never ends.



And from behind the duo of biological cameras attached to my head lies the brain, replaying these horrid images over and over. Thirsting for more - after these messages, of course.

THE SLAYER

THE BEAST COMES FROM OUT OF DARKNESS,LIFTS HIS HEAD AND HOWLS AT THE MOON,THE NIGHT HAS A FULL MOON OUT. THE DARK CREATURES AWAIT FOR HELL TO COME. THE BEAST TURNS AROUND AND WITH A PUFF OF WHITE SMOKE HE TRANSFORMS INTO A MIGHTY SLAYER. THE WAR HAS BEGUN MY FRIENDS. SHALL WE GRAB OUR SWORDS AND FIGHT FOR OUR SOULS. WITH ONE SWACK,THE SLAYER CUTS OFF ONE OF THE SOLDIERS HEADS OFF. NOW THE REIGN IS NEAR.



MY COMMAND IS TO STEAL ALL SOULS FOR THE ALMIGHTY ONE. MAY THE BLACK OF NIGHT BE WITH ME THROUGH THIS BATTLE. AS I LAY IN FRONT OF MY ALTER BEFORE ME. THE SPELL IS DONE. THE SLAYER GOES OUT INTO THE NIGHT SLASHING ALL OF THE ANGELS THAT ARE FREEING THEIR LIVES. THIS IS MY DARK FRIEND THE BATTLE OF ARMEGGEDDON. FOR THE SLAYER IS THE ANTICHRIST. HE IS THE CHOSEN ONE FOR THE EVIL. LET THERE BE NO FEAR THOUGH. THE DARKNESS LIVES ON AND WILL HAVE VICTORY. VICTORY IS OURS. WE WILL FIGHT WE WILL WIN WE WILL DIE SOME OF US BUT WE WILL NEVER FALL. FOR THE QUEEN OF THE NIGHT SKY IS ALWAYS WITH US AND SHE WILL PROTECT US FROM HARM. LET NO ONE HAVE NO FEAR. FOR THE TIME HAS COME TO BOW DOWN TO YOUR MOST CERTAIN DARK GOD OR GODDESS. BLESSED BE THE ONES THAT HOLD THEIR TORCH STRONG IN THE ELEMENTS OF AIR. BLESSED BE THE ONES THAT ARE STRONG WITH FAITH AND STRENTGH AND POWER AND WISDOM. FOR WE SHALL NEVER FAULTER
