I do not like poetry however this one makes sense.

It's author has been lost through the time and one of my mentors said this one.

Chances are good that most will not understand it however for ones that do: This poem has the potential to change lives for those who trully understand it.

FORGIVE

That slight misdeed of Yesterday,

why should it mar today?

The thing he said, the thing you did,

have long since passed away:

For Yesterday was but a trial:

Today you will succeed

And from mistakes of yesterday

Will come some noble Deed.

Forgive yourself for thoughtlessness

Do not condemn the past:

For it is gone with its mistakes:

Their mem'ry cannot last:

Forget the failures and misdeed

From such experience rise,

Why should you let your head be bowed?

Lift up your heart and Eyes!

This is indeed amazing...it made a tear fall, I'm young, very young but I find myself in the similar situation.

Sighing softly, I would let myself fall asleep, entangled in the memories of him. These are the memories that keep me alive, the feeling of knowing that he, in fact, loved me at the time of his death. These are the memories that save me for the time being, but will ultimately destroy me in the long run.

Now I see I must live on to be strong for him even with the pain, but in a way not saddened that I will one day find the love again that will bring him true happiness. For that is what he would want for me.

The hardest thing to do, was to see the one I loved inside a coffin, knowing that I can't be with him. I miss him, and it kills me. I need him, and it blinds me.

There is nothing grander in life then love for something and even loss can be a grand thing unto itself, doesn't do justice...

A masterpiece in my eyes..love it, behind the inspiration, but regardless of it, the message of this poem is deep.
