Saturday morning I woke early, as usual, and on my first trip outside I discovered that my tiny portable greenhouse had been picked up and thrown by an early morning storm. It was dark so I couldn't investigate further but as soon as the sun was up I went out to my kennel garden space and cleaned up the mess before more rain set in.
Luckily most of the seedlings survived but I did lose some freshly planted trays. This may not be a total loss as the seeds may still germinate and sprout in the soil floor.
In the cleanup I discovered a pea sprout from an apparent dropped seed; this morning I weeded and staked it so we will see what we get from it.
I planted carrot seeds a couple of months ago and they are finally sprouting!
Yay!!!
I also have to transplant my cauliflower to another spot because they conflict with my companion planting in granddaughter's garden.
I should have done better research.

Wonders about plants - they move well. Carrots, my bunnies would eat them
New project; attempting to save a maple sapling that is probably going to be ripped out by my neighbor. The plan is to dig it up and move it approximately 2 and a half feet, into my definite property line.
Over the last week we added marigolds and cockscomb, cauliflower, and daisies.
My potatoes have leaves breaking through the surface, and we also have a growing number of seedlings in trays.
I also started a batch of liquid fertilizer.
The only real fly in the ointment is my neighbor waging war on trees. This time ripping out trees on the fence line between our properties. Between the feeling of being stripped bare, due to the cover between us being eliminated, I am also morally disgusted that he wastes the trees he demolishes.

Shame. When we have fallen trees, we cut up for campfires. We even pick up the fallen branches, for kindle.

Oh no. Hope the pea plant makes it.
