Ashi Coed Boarding School
Summary: Crystal Minami’s parents have just died of a terrible disease and something amazing has happened to Crystal. She has become a vampire and has a mortal enemy that she has never seen. Crystal now has to live in a coed boarding school where she meets some very cool friends. What her friends and new boyfriend do not know is that she is a vampire cursed for all eternity. What will her friends think of her when they found out what she really is? Can she protect them from her enemy?
Will they accept her or run away?

Prologue: Beginning of a New Life
“Please don’t kill me!” I cried out to the rapist. “I won’t kill you young lady. All we want to do is taste your lovely body. It looks and smells delicious,” the man said sniffing my neck. I squirmed as he sniffed my neck. I tried to kick him but it was no use. He had such a good hold on me that I could barely move. “Please!” I begged, “Let me go. I will give you whatever you want. Just don’t kill me.” Tears started to run down my cheeks. I felt his hands run up and down my sides and stomach. He then unbuttoned my shirt began kissing my stomach. I closed my eyes tightly and kept begging and pleading him.
Then he was gone. I opened my eyes and saw him. He had his hand around the rapist’s neck. He started to scream, and then he went dead silent. I sunk to the cold ground and started crying. I heard the man throw the rapist to the side and crouch down beside me.
“Are you ok?” he asked. I looked up at him and gasped. In the dim light, I could see that he had black eyes. “Y...Yes I am. Th...Thanks for saving me,” I said shaking. “Where do you live? I can take you back and make sure you are safe,” he said. I then started to button my shirt back up but my hands were so shaky it was hard. He took my hands away and buttoned my shirt up for me. “There you go,” he said taking my hands and lifting me up. I began to sway a little and finally stood still. The stranger put his arm around my shoulders and led me out of the alley.
We walked for about ten minutes until we stopped outside my house. I turned to him and said, “Thanks so much for saving me. I don’t know what I would have done without you.” He looked down at me and smiled. “Can I ask you something?” “Sure!” I said. “Do you believe in vampires?” he asked. “Not really. Why?” I asked him. “Well… if I told you I was one would you believe me? He asked. “Well that kinda depends. How would I know you aren’t lying?” I said with a smirk on my face. “That’s easy. I am a vampire and this is how you know I am one,” he said turning around and running back in the direction the rapist was. He came back with the man. I noticed he was dead and bleeding. “This is how I can prove I am one.” He leaned down to his neck and sunk his teeth into him.
I then began to scream but stopped. I watched as he sucked his blood and then threw him into a dumpster. I looked at him with a scared expression on my face. He held his hands up in front of him and said, “Don’t worry. I would never do that to you. I would never change anyone unless they really wanted it. Besides, I don’t want anyone to be cursed an immortal life,” he said.
“Would you change me? Ever since my parents got the horrible disease, it is slowly taking both of their lives. What happens when they are gone? I will have nothing and I will be sent away to some school. I do not want to be alone. I want to live forever and see the world. I might not like the drinking blood thing but I do not want to die knowing that I could catch the disease. I do not want to die or suffer what they are going through. Please change me! I am begging you!” I said pleading him. I clutched his hands and felt that they were slightly colder than mine were.
He put his hands on my shoulders. “Are you sure you want to do this? This is a curse and not some game. Once you are transformed, there is no going back. Never.”
He looked into my blue eyes. He knew that he would have to accept my proposal. He sighed and said, “Fine. The transformation will take 3 days and then you must hunt until you are full. I will go with you and help you. I will also tell you the rules of this curse. I see in my vision that you will be very beautiful and have great gifts.” I then smiled at him. He returned the smile.
“I suggest you go in now and see your parents. They are worried sick about you,” he said with a wave. I waved back and turned towards the door. “Wait!” I turned around but he was gone. I turned back to the door and walked in. “Mom! Dad! I am home!” I called and went up the stairs to their room.
In my parent’s bedroom….
“Hello sweetheart,” mom said weakly. “Hi mom. How are you guys feeling today?” “Could be better,” dad said with a laugh. They all laughed. “Crystal, we have something we need to tell you,” mom said. “Sure. What is it?” Before mom could begin, she started to cough a horrible cough.
I then grabbed her some water. “Thanks sweetie.” Mom took a drink and started. “Your father and I have talked to a number of people and filled out applications for the past few years. Three years ago, you were accepted at Ashi Coed Boarding School. Your father and I have had thought about it for years and we think that it would be good for you to go. We want you to be happy and have a normal life. We will not last much longer dear. We are dying and nothing you can do can stop it from happening. We don’t want you to throw your life away just to be with us,” mom said with tears in her eyes. “What your mom is trying to say is that the school will be good for you. They have nice people, staff, and rooms. It will not be like an orphanage. It is a school where you can have fun and be a teenager. You are 16 years old and you have not had a life since we got the disease 4 years ago. We want you to grow up, have a nice husband, children, and everything. We want you to be happy,” my father said laying a hand over mine.
Then I started to cry. They started out soft then I began sobbing. “I don’t want you to die. I love you so much. I do not want to be left alone. I need you. I do not know what I would do without out you here with me. When you are gone, it will feel like part of my heart has been ripped out. Do not leave me. Stay with me. Watch me grow up. Watch me get married, have children, everything. You do not deserve to die. You deserve to live because you have great lives,” I said sobbing.
Then both my parents sat up and held me while I cried. I finally cried myself to sleep. They looked at each other and shed tears that they have held in for a while. They did not want to see them cry. They held me and until they finally fell asleep.
The next morning I woke up. I got up and went to make some breakfast for everyone. When I came back with the food, I noticed that my parents were paler than usual. I went over to them and tried to wake them up. They did not stir. I then dropped all the food and screamed. The nurse came in hysterical. “What happened Miss Crystal?” All I could do was sob. The nurse went to check my parents and noticed why. My parents had died in their sleep and they looked peaceful wrapped in each other’s arms. The nurse ushered me out of the room. I then ran out of the house. I kept running until I could not run anymore. I then ran into someone hard and cold. I fell backwards but before I could fall on the ground the stranger grabbed me. “We meet again I see,” they said. I looked up and saw the man from last night. “Please change me before I kill myself. My parents just died and I can’t stand to be alone!” I said through my sobs. He wrapped his arms around me and carried me to his place.
He laid me down onto a bed and began to tie my hands and legs to the posts. I suddenly stopped and screamed, “What the hell are you doing!?” “I have to do this. You could hurt yourself if I didn’t do this,” he explained. “Since it will take 3 days for you to be completely transformed, I will go to your house and get all the details about the school you will be going to. I will also pack all of the things you will pack.”
I looked at him surprised. “My gift is that I have visions and also I can read minds,” he said, “Are you ready now Miss Crystal Minami?” I nodded. He walked over to my neck. He brushed the hair away from my neck. “I will see you in 3 days,” he said as he sunk his teeth into my neck. Then the transformation began. I began to scream but he told me not to scream too much. He started to soothe me as it began. I then started screaming that my neck was on fire and everywhere else. Through the whole day, he stayed with me, soothing me, and keeping me company. The second day came and he left.
Stranger:
On the third day, I came back and noticed that she was a little paler than when I bit her. She had stopped screaming. Her eyes were blood red and her skin was a few degrees cooler than a normal human was. I then said her name. “Crystal?” she looked at me and growled. “Where were you?” she demand, “You untie me now before I bite your head off,” she snarled at me and I did what she told me to do. I grabbed the glass from the table and gave it to her. “Drink this. It might help for now until we go hunting,” I said handing her the drink. she gulped it down and licked her lips. “That was really good. I want more,” she demanded. “You have to wait until we make sure you are ready,” I said.
She turned and glared at me. I looked her over. I ran a finger down her arm. I then tried to slap her but I got slapped first. Her reflexes were fast. I then began to squeeze her arm hard but she did not flinch. She seemed to be passing. “I would like to see how fast you are now. Go take a shower and I will time you. Ok?” I said in my mind. “Ok but you better not peek,” she said getting up and going to take a shower. She came back all clean and fresh “You can read minds. That is very interesting. Can you sense emotions at all or see visions?” I asked. She looked at me.
Crystal:
He had a yellow light surrounding him with a hint of orange, which meant he was happy, and having some sick thoughts. I then saw a vision of my parents’ funeral. They were going to be cremated, have their ashes spread across the ocean, and a beautiful memorial service. I can sense your emotions, have visions, and read your mind. You are such a pervert!” I yelled at him. He grinned at me. He had imagined me in a string bikini. “Now that we know you’re gifts we can go hunt and get your eyes back to normal.”
We hunted for hours until my eyes were back to a perfect blue. “You will have to hunt a lot to make sure your eyes stay blue. Do NOT kill humans. Hunt wild animals that might over populate. Ok?” he said. I nodded. Then, an overwhelming smell caught my attention. I looked around and saw a little boy. He stood 150 feet away and playing with his dog. I growled low in my throat. I then started to walk towards him when my creator threw me back.
“Don’t! Humans’ scents can attract you easily. Try to fight it and you can live a normal eternal life. I also must tell you something else. Vampires have an enemy. He can be anything that you fear most. Since you are going to a school, you must keep your friends safe. Our enemy can hurt the people you care about and if he does, he could kill you mentally and physically. Keep a close eye out. Ok?” he said. I nodded once again and ran back to his place. I lived with my creator for 2 weeks until it was time for me to go. It had been 3 days since the funeral. I got all of my stuff and was about to walk out the door when I stopped. I saw it lying on the table. It was a letter from my parents. I opened it and read it aloud to myself.
Our dearest Crystal,
I know that you might not like the idea of school very much but please go and see what it is like. It is the only thing your father and I ask. We both want you to be happy but we both know that it will be hard for you when we are gone. Ever since we got the disease, you have been such a good daughter. You always came and talked to us and risked your life by being near us since the disease could be contagious. You have been so good to us by bringing us food, talking to us, reading, everything. You do not know how much we are proud of you. You are our little girl and will always be our little girl. We want you to go to the school as soon as you can. The faster you go, the easier it will be for you to be happy. On Friday, you will meet a man named Gray and he will talk to you about the plans for school. He has even been helping your father and me with the bills and money. He is a nice man and I know that if we can trust him, than you can trust him. Please be happy. For me and your father and anyone else you care about you. Remember that no matter where we are, we will always love you. You are close to our heart and always in our prayers. Be good and I hope you have a happy life. No matter what happens to us, know that we will love you forever and always.

No tears fell as I cried. I clutched the letter in my hands. I never heard anyone come in and wrap their arms around me. I turned around and dry sobbed into his chest. Finally, I broke free of his grasp and cleared my throat. “I am going to go find Gray now and get to the school as fast as I can. I cannot stand to be in this town anymore. There are too many memories,” I said grabbing my suitcases and ran off into the distance. I never saw him again. At least, I thought I wouldn’t.
End Chapter:
Chapter 1: Arrival
Summary: Crystal Minami was attacked by a rapist, but saved by a kind stranger. That stranger happened to be a vampire and was willing to change her if she wished to. She said him to change her but he just ushered her inside to see her parents. The next day her parents died in their sleep and left her alone. She bumps into the vampire and begs him to change her. He agrees to her request and changes her. She is now a vampire, who must go to a boarding school. She must keep her secret from the people she cares about most and protect them from her mortal enemy.
I looked up at the school. “This is my new home,” I said to myself. I was still remembering what Gray had told me. He told me everything I needed and wanted to know. I knew I could trust him and I did. I walked up the front steps and entered the school building with my four suitcases. I walked a short way when I heard two boys talking. I turned the corner and I saw them. One boy was short but yet tall with brown curly hair and was fit but not scrawny or muscular. The other boy was tall, muscular looking with black hair that hung over his eyes. Suddenly he turned and looked at me. I gasped while I looked into his eyes. His eyes were electric blue and bore deep into my eyes. I suddenly felt like I was in love for the first time. I looked away. If it were possible for me to blush, I would be a deep shade of red. I looked at the floor until I heard the black haired boy say, “Hi!”
I looked up and saw him waving at me. I walked/stumbled over to where he was standing. “Hi.” I said. “Hi. My Name is Luke Grant and this is my friend Tyler Inukuro.” “Hey,” Tyler said with a smile. “Hi. My Name is Crystal Minami. It is nice to meet you both. “No, the pleasure is all mine my darling angel,” Luke said taking my hand and kissing it. Tyler rolled his eyes. “You really need to stop watching “Romeo and Juliet,” he said. “I can’t. It is my favorite movie and also you could learn a few things about charming a beautiful lady,” he said winking at me. I giggled.
The boys started to argue about the movie until I laughed. “What’s so funny?” Tyler asked. “It’s the way you two argue. It seems like you are a married couple,” I said laughing again. They joined in with me. “I am sorry that I ignored you Crystal. Do you know what room you are in?” Luke asked. “Yes I do. I am I room 320,” I said looking at the piece of paper. “Really? I am in the same room,” Luke said with a smile. “What?” I said shocked. “Yeah. Boys room with girls and vice versa. Are you ok with rooming with me?” Luke asked. “Oh crap! If he finds out that I cannot sleep or find I am gone during the night when I hunt. My cover will be blown and I have to leave him. I could never leave him. His blood smells so good and it is like a drug to me,” I thought.
I looked at Luke and finally said, “Yes. It is fine. I have one thing to tell you though. If I am ever gone out of the room at night, it is because I need time alone to think. It has happened very often so don’t worry about me.” “Ok,” Luke said. “Well we will see you later Ty.” “Later Luke. Bye Crystal,” Tyler said waving. “So, are you ready to see your room?” Luke asked. “Yes please,” I said grabbing my four suitcases. “Would you like some help? They look a little heavy,” he asked. “Sure. Thanks so much Luke,” I said. Of course, I knew that they were not heavy at all. They might have been heavy when I was a human but I was a vampire now and had great strength. We then began to walk towards our room.
We chatted all the way to our room. Luke put down his two suitcases and opened the door with his room key. I then entered the room and gasped. The room was two ½ times the size of my bedroom back home. In the room were two computer desks, two computers, two couches, a nice big TV, two beds, 2 dressers, a big closet, a small fridge, and other things. “This is all ours?” I asked. “Yep. We get this room and everything in it for the next three or four years. How old are you?” he asked putting my suitcases on what was my bed. “I am 16. You?” “I am 16 also. I guess we will be roomies for the next 3 years then,” he said smiling. I smiled back and started to unpack my things and put them away. I did not know that I was doing things faster than humans do. Luke looked at me amazed. I suddenly stopped and looked at a door I did not notice before. I gasped.
Luke was not paying any attention until he heard me gasp. “What’s wrong Crystal?” “Is this what I think it is?” “If you think it is a bathroom then you are correct. We have our own bathroom and everything. We don’t have to go down the hall to use one or share with 10 other people and whatnot,” he said grinning. “I bet she looks very beautiful when she gets out of the shower. I so wish I had a chance with her. She is so beautiful and perfect,” he thought.
I turned towards him and heard his thoughts. I noticed he blushed and smiled. “Did she hear me? I hope she did not. I feel so stupid thinking that. God!” he thought. “Luke? Are you ok?” I asked moving closer to him. He looked down at me and said, “I think I am. Are you almost done packing?” I nodded. “Would like to go to the Game Room and met the others?” I smiled and hugged him. He blushed a deeper red and hugged me back. “She smells so good and she seems so perfect. Why is her skin a few degrees colder than normal though? Is she cold?” he thought. I heard him and quickly let go of him backing up a few feet. He looked at me puzzled but shrugged it off. “Ready?” “Yes I am,” and I walked out the door. He took a few deep breathes and then we both walked to the Game Room.
When they got to the Game Room, I gasped. “This is like an arcade!” I exclaimed. “That is the same thing I said when I first came here 2 weeks ago,” he said with a grin. I grinned back and looked around. I saw people playing all sorts of games. From the Super Nintendo to the newest game system which was the PS3. I then noticed Tyler around three other people. They were standing next to a dance machine. “Come on Luke! I see Tyler,” I said grabbing his hand and walking towards Tyler and the others. “Hi Tyler!” I said approaching them.
Everyone in the Game Room looked at me with aw. “She is so beautiful that I can’t even imagine,” one kid said a few feet away. “She is an angel sent from heaven above,” another one thought. She continued to hear all of the kid’s thoughts and so wished she could blush. “Hey Crystal. Did you get all unpacked and whatnot?” Tyler asked. “Yes she did. She went a lot faster than I did when I arrived here. It was like she was going 15 miles per hour,” Luke said with a laugh.
They all looked at me with a shocked face and I just smiled. “I had to learn how to put stuff away fast. I guess I haven’t gotten out of the habit,” I smiled again. “Well Crystal, I will introduce everyone. You know Tyler. The girl standing next to Tyler is his girlfriend, Summer Harumi. They are in room 325. The other two people are Shelby Hiroko and her boyfriend Joey Nakashima. They are in room 315,” Luke said. “Hi everyone,” I said shaking their hands. “Hey Crystal,” everyone said. “Why was her hand so cold?” Summer had thought. “She is so pretty. How does she stay so perfect?” Shelby thought. “Luke is some lucky guy,” Joey said. I laughed. “Crystal, I just want to tell you… WELCOME TO THE GROUP!” Summer said excited. Everyone then laughed. “Let’s play DDR,” Shelby said. “Ok!” Summer and I said in unison. We then walked onto the machine.
We played DDR until 6:30. All of a sudden, someone wrapped their arms around my waist and lifted me up. I began to scream but stopped when someone’s hand covered my mouth. I turned around and saw the person that had changed me. I began to glare at him.
“What the hell are YOU doing here?” I growled at him. My new friends looked at me and gasped. “What’s wrong?” I asked looking away from him. Summer held up a mirror and I noticed my eyes were blood red. I quickly turned back to the person. “Why are my eyes red?” I thought. “You need to drink. I came here because I saw in a vision that you were going to get so thirsty, that you were going to kill everyone. I need to take you out of here fast before you kill someone. Ok?” he thought. I nodded. “I need to go you guys. I will see you tomorrow or later tonight. Ok?” “Ok,” everyone said puzzled. I turned around and walked away with him.
“Who is that guy? Her boyfriend or something?” I heard Luke say. “I am not sure but did you see her eyes?” Joey and Shelby said in unison. “They were creepy. They were like a perfect blue than all of a sudden turned blood red,” Summer said. “Luke, I think Crystal needs to tell us what is going on,” Tyler said. “Agreed,” everyone said in unison. I looked up at the man and he saw my sad worried expression. “Don’t even think about it Crystal. You can’t let ANYONE find out,” he said. I nodded. “By the way, I never got YOUR name. What is it?” “My name is Vince Masato. I am 18 years old and was born in 1944.” “Wow! Wouldn’t you be twenty-four though?” I asked. “Technically yes. I was changed when I was 18 years old. We can never age or change the way we look. Humans can think you turn older but you know you do not. Once you turn, “twenty-four” you must move to a different state and town to make sure no one notices that you never age. It will blow our cover. Ok?” Vince said looking at me. “Ok,” I said. “Come on. I will race you.” I then took off running. I heard Vince behind me, but I kept running.
I ran through the trees and then suddenly stopped in a meadow. Surrounding the meadow were trees and a lake to my left. It was the most stunning site I have ever seen. Over the lake, the sun was setting and the whole meadow was hints of blue, purple, red, orange, and yellow. “Isn’t it beautiful?” Vince said behind me. I whirled around and saw him a foot away from me. He was looking at the water. “It is such a nice place to just stop and think about everything. It can just take your breath away even if we don’t breath.” The sad look on his face told me that something was wrong. His emotions were blue with sadness and black with depression. “Vince?” I said. He turned and looked at me with red eyes. “We better hunt before we do something we will regret,” I said and we were off to find something to eat.
After a few hours, I tackled my last deer and sucked its blood dry. I wiped my mouth on my sleeve and looked up at the darkened sky. I looked around for Vince and saw him 20 feet away drinking the blood of a bear. He looked up once he was done and looked at me. “I am ready to go back home. They are worried about me,” I thought. “Ok. We will change clothes though. We can’t go back to campus with blood on our clothes,” he thought. “Ok,” I thought and we left the beautiful meadow.
When we got back to campus after changing our clothes, I heard, “Wow! That is Crystal Minami. She is the hottest girl in this school right now,” some said. “Crystal’s back and she has a strange guy with her,” someone said farther away. I looked at Vince and he said, “Just ignore the rumors. They are all jealous as you can tell.” I looked around while we were walking and noticed that a lot of the boys and girls were green with envy and with jealousy.
When we got to my dorm building Vince leaned down and whispered in my ear, “I will come get you every once in a while and hunt with you. Since I am your creator, it is my responsibility to do that. I will also watch over you. You need to keep an eye on the color of your eyes. Your eyes are a bright blue now but when you start to get thirsty, your eyes will start to darken and then turn red. You need to make sure you watch that or else your friends and everyone will get suspicious. Ok?” I nodded and kissed his cheek. He then turned his head quickly, kissed me hard on the lips, and then disappeared. “I so wish I could blush!” I screamed into my head. I then turned towards the door and went up to my room.
Outside my door…
When I got to my room, I started to search my pockets for my key. I then gasped. I had left it in my other set of clothes back at Vince’s house. “Fucking A!” I said under my breath. I then decide to knock on the door. I was about to knock when I heard voices behind the door. I stopped and began to listen. “Luke, you need to stop worrying. She has only been gone for 4 hours. She is not a missing person. You need sit down for a while,” Tyler said. “Yeah Luke. If you keep this up, she will start to be scared to go out anywhere. You cannot scare her away. She doesn’t seem to have anywhere else to go,” Summer said. “I will NOT calm down!” Luke shouted. “I am in LOVE with her and I don’t want to lose her. I know that it is too soon to tell but I just have a gut feeling.” “Luke, its a’ight. Jus’ calm down a bit. Ya don’t wanna lose her jus’ like I don’t wanna lose Shelby ere’.” Joey said.
After hearing them try to calm down Luke, I had a vision. It was about a student coming to the school. The new student was not any normal student. He was pale and had dark eyes. I tried to run from him but he got to me before I could even blink. He whispered, “Hello Crystal. Did you miss me?” I then gasped. I shook the vision away and knocked on the door harder than necessary. Right after I knocked I saw Tyler open the door quickly. “Crystal!” he exclaimed. I tried to cover my ears because of the sound but was instead, wrapped in Luke’s arms.
“I was so worried that you were hurt or something horrible happened to you,” Luke said into my hair. “I told you I would be back in a few hours. I didn’t mean to make everyone worried,” I said giving Luke a hug and everyone else one. “It’s a’ight Crystal,” Joey said. “Yeah. Don’t worry about it,” everyone else said in unison. I smiled at everyone and then sat down on my bed. “Are you alright?” Luke asked. “I….I….am… f…fi…,” I could not finish my sentence. I then fell into unconsciousness.
End Chapter:
Chapter 2: First Day of School
Summary: Crystal Minami has just entered the Ashi Coed Boarding school. She has met some nice people. Her roommate and crush Luke Grant, Summer Harumi, Tyler Inukuro, Joey Nakashima, and Shelby Hiroko. She also has found out her mysterious creator’s name. His name is Vince Masato. She has moved in and had fun until her friends notice her blood red eyes. Vince then shows up just in time to hunt with her. Vince then tells her more about being a vampire. She had lost her key and starts to knock but hears everyone trying to calm down Luke. When they open the door and find her behind it, Luke hugs her once the door is open. They ask her some questions and she starts to answer but falls into unconsciousness.
“Crystal?!” I heard Luke shout my name but then I fell unconscious. I then started to have another vision. It was about the enemy Vince had said. The same pale boy was in my last vision. This time I was in the beautiful meadow where I hunted. I was about to pounce on my prey but stopped suddenly. I felt his presence and turned around. He was standing a few hundred feet behind me smirking. His eyes were blood red and thirsty looking. He turned quickly around and ran into the forest. He then came back with something over his shoulder. I looked closely and noticed it was Luke. I started to run towards him but was knocked down. “Leave him alone!” I screamed. He just laughed and ran away from the meadow. I tried to catch up to him but he was faster than I was. He threw Luke down on the ground and ran away. I ran towards Luke and noticed he was all bloody and beaten up. I then tried to listen to his heartbeat but I could not hear it. I turned Luke around and noticed he was dead. I started to scream. “NO!”
“NO LUKE!” I screamed. I sat up and opened my eyes. All of my friends were looking at me. “Crystal! What’s wrong?” they all asked with worried expressions on their faces. I looked around the room and saw their emotions. They were gray with worry. I looked around and saw Luke with a pained expression on his face. I sighed and fainted.
I woke up a little bit later and noticed Luke was cradling me in his arms. “Luke?” I asked. “Yes Crystal?” he answered. “I thought I had lost you,” I said. “What are you talking about? You will never lose me. I will always be right by your side. No matter what,” he said with a smile. I lifted my hand to his cheek and said, “Oh Luke.” I then lifted my head and put my cold lips next to his warm lips. I felt his emotions change from worried, to calm, to excited, to in love. His emotions were sparkly white pink. I than felt his body temperature go up.
I pulled away and asked, “Can I sit on my bed?” “Sure,” he said setting me down on my bed. “Crystal, I want to tell you something,” he said. “What is it?” “I know we have known each other for not even a day but I just feel like I am in love with you. I do not want to lose you because I feel like you are a part of my heart. If I ever lost you I probably would never live a normal life again,” he said looking into my eyes. “Luke, we can’t be together. There are some things that no one can know about me and my life,” I said. “Why not?” he asked brushing my hair back behind my ear.
I looked away from his electric blue eyes. “I am afraid that once you find out…,” I looked down, “you will run away and never look back.” Luke then turned my head and looked into my eyes. “I love you too much to do that to you. You are my life, my heart, and my soul,” he said. I then choked back a sob. “Luke, please don’t. No matter how much this hurts me to say this is but I you can’t be with me and I can’t be with you,” I said. I then got up and ran into the bathroom locking the door. After a few seconds, I heard him mutter about Vince and then everything went silent.
When I emerged from the bathroom 15 minutes later, all I could hear was his soft breathing. I lay down on my bed and tried to think about what I had said to him. I replayed the scene over and over again in my mind. I looked over at his bed and saw his emotions. His emotions were blue with sadness and purple with frustration. I sighed and then lay back against my pillow.
The next morning…
I had finally closed my eyes when I heard Luke get up. I opened one eye and noticed he was getting dressed. I noticed that all he had worn to bed was his boxers. I quickly shut my eyes and turned towards the wall. I than heard his thoughts. “Why can’t she be with me? Is it something that happened before or is it me?” He thought. I then started to regret not telling him, but it for the best. He did not need to be with a monster like me. I then heard him say, “Crystal?” I turned around and saw him by my bed. “Yes Luke?” “We have class in an hour or so. Want to come to breakfast with me?” “Sure. Give me a few minutes,” I said sitting up. “Ok,” he said. I than got up and went into the bathroom.
When I got out of the bathroom, I saw him sitting on the arm of the couch. “I am ready Luke,” I said. He turned his head and nodded. We started out the door when Luke all of a sudden stopped. “What’s wrong Luke?” I asked. “Why won’t you tell me why we can’t be together? It has been bugging me all night and I really want to know,” he said with a sad expression on his face.
I sighed and looked straight into his eyes. “I am afraid you will think I am a monster if I tell you,” I said. “I would never think so low of you Crys. I am madly in love with you and will accept you,” he said with a smile. “Oh great, what am I to do now. I love him so much and I want to tell him so bad but I just can’t,” I said in my head. I then sigh. “I will tell you my secret Luke. I am a…” just when I was about to saw that I was a vampire Summer bursts into our room. “Crystal! Are you all you better now!?” she asks running towards me and hugging me tightly. “Thank god for Summer,” I say in my head.
“I am fine Summer. No worries,” I said shooting her a smile. “I am so glad! Yesterday we were all worried that you were never coming back.” I laughed. “I would never leave without telling you. Everyone has been so good to me and everyone is my friend. No worries.” All three of us smile. “What were you going to tell me before Summer barged in here?” Luke asked. “We don’t have time. We will be late for breakfast if we don’t get a move on it,” Summer said grabbing both our hands and dragging us out the door.
At breakfast...
As soon as we walked into the cafeteria, I saw all the food. “Choose what you all want Crystal. You can have anything you want,” Summer said walking towards the others. I look at all the food and gulp. “What do I do now?” I think. “I can eat it but I can’t taste it at all.”I then start putting things on a plate and then walk towards the others. I then started to eat the tasteless food. “Isn’t the food delicious?” Joey asked. “It is amazing!” Shelby says. “I totally agree,” Luke and Tyler, say. “It is very good,” I lie.
Once we were all done, I followed everyone to class. “Since you are new we have to go pick up your schedule Crystal,” Summer says dragging me to the office. “Ok Summer,” I say. I get my schedule and notice I have Algebra 2 PC, Chemistry, World History, Concert Choir, Journalism, British Literature, Study hall, and Gym.
A Day
8:10- 9:40 period 1: Concert Choir/ Study Hall
9:45- 11:30 period 3: World History
11:30- 12:15 Lunch
12:15- 1:45 period 5: Gym
1:50-3:20 period 7: Algebra 2 PC
B Day
8:10- 9:40 period 2: Concert Choir/ Study Hall
9:45- 11:30 period 4: Journalism
11:30- 12:15 Lunch
12:15- 1:45 period 6: Study Hall
1:50- 3:20 period 8: British Literature
“What classes do you have Crystal?” everyone asked. I showed them my schedule and I have Algebra 2 PC with Summer, Shelby, and Tyler. World History with no one. Chemistry with everyone. Concert Choir with Summer. Journalism with Luke. British Literature with Tyler and Luke. Study hall with Luke. Gym with Luke, Shelby, Tyler, and Joey. I gasped. I noticed I have almost every class with Luke. I smiled at him and he smiled back at me.
“I am so ready for my first day of school now. Let’s go!” everyone shouts. We then walk to our first class. Summer and I walk into the choir room and find a place to sit. We see other students come in and sit down. “Isn’t this so cool Crystal!” Summer asks. “Yes it is. I can’t believe we have all the same classes!” I say excited. “Quiet down now class!”A female teacher says. We look towards the class to find a very attractive looking music teacher. The teacher smiles at everyone and starts talking to us about the course and what we would be learning. The 25 minutes go by fast and we are off to our next class.
The rest of the day goes by fast that before I could blink, school is over. I was amazed about all my classes. “I think I am really going to like this school,” I thought. I walk out of the classroom and go to my room. On my way, I see many students waving and smiling at me. I wave back and go up to my room. I walked in just when someone was walking out.
“Excuse me but what are you doing in my room?” I demand. I look up and gasp. I come to face-to-face with the pale-boy in my visions and dreams. “I am sorry miss. I guess I walked into the wrong room. My mistake,” he says in a French accent. He says goodbye and walks down the stairs and around the corner. I quickly enter my room and slam the door. “I thought I could avoid the vision and dream and the pale-boy but I can’t. What do I do now?” I think. Before I could think about the pale-boy, anymore, Luke walks into the room.
“Today was such an awesome day! I am so glad we have many classes together. That means we can help each other with homework and whatnot,” he said excited. I smiled a weak smile, went into the bathroom, and began to clean up. “Hey Crystal?” Luke knocked on the bathroom door. “Yes Luke?” “Do you and that strange guy from yesterday have a thing?” I laughed. “Of course not,” I say walking out of the bathroom. “He is a family friend of mine. He sometimes comes at random times and takes me to see some old friends of my parents. You have nothing to worry about Luke. You are the only guy for me,” I say with a grin on my face. He smiles back and then takes a few steps and kisses me on the lips. I kiss back and watch as his emotions go from very nervous to happy.
“We better get going on our homework now. I have some things that are due tomorrow for Concert Choir, Journalism, and British Literature.” I then walk over to my computer desk and start typing my one page essay about myself. Luke goes and does the same.
At around 8:30 Luke says, “I am all done. I am going to get some rest for tomorrow. Goodnight Crystal.” Luke gets up and comes over to me. He wraps his arms around my waist and kisses me full on the lips. After about 2 minutes, we break apart. “Goodnight,” I say with a smile. I watch as Luke undresses and gets into bed. I smile and finish the rest of my homework. I then get ready for bed. I lay in bed listening to Luke’s breathing and heartbeat. I smile to myself and close my eyes.

Thank you. it took a lot of time and hard thinking to make sure the characters sounded cool and interesting. I think the story is going to be AWESOME!!! ^^
