I am a redhead who grew up in New York. I moved to Baltimore and have learned quite a lot about survival. I was turned into a vampire by someone who abandoned me. I do not even know his name but he came to me in dreams at first. Around the time of 9/11, my vampiric tendencies awakened but I have very little idea how to control them or how to prevent any disasters. I am a mother of three (boy/girl twins who are going to be 9 soon and a little girl of 7) and I am also a professional writer.
I happen to believe there are about five or six different kinds of vampires in this world so I do not think that "turning" is so far fetched, though I could have been born one and just did not know it until this man attacked me. This is why I'm here. I have been solitary since 2001 and I'm looking for someone(s) who can help me cope without starving myself. Human food gives me energy but does not "hit my stomach" if that makes sense. Only blood does this, as well as heal whatever physical wounds I obtain from day to day and increase my senses.
I have tried to deny this part of myself for fear that if I give into it, I will become a monster! A vampire/werewolf hunter already tried to kill me once and..well, let's just say I'm still here and he is not! If there is anyone in my area who can help me cope, I would appreciate it. Hell, no matter WHERE you are, if you have ANY ideas to help me, I'd LOVE to hear them! :D
I am also an Egyptian practitioner by religion and I've NEVER had any problems with vampires at all! I grew up absolutely loving them! It was the humans I tended to be abused by, though I strive not to generalize anyone! I also believe my children are of the supernatural bent but, aside from my son, who is like me and doesn't know it, I cannot quite figure out what the girls are. My mind gifts are strong and include: Empathy, Sight, Astral projection, Pyrokinesis (though that's hard for me to control). I have a keen interest in all things vampiric, though I have to be careful because if I watch, say, too many movies about them, my blood lust tends to wake up with a vengeance! I avoid sunlight more because I can't stand the heat than because it can hurt me, though I do tend to blister if I'm out there too long. I also hate extremes of temperature but that's just me!
