I've been madly obsessed with vampires ever since I was a wee squidgen of a creature and got my grubby paws on a collection of vampire stories from around the world. Gradually, the screaming night terrors which that book induced transformed into a nail-biting late-night research endeavor which lasted me up until the publication of Twilight--at which point the web became filled with self-professed 'vampire' enthusiasts and their feeble notions of what 'real' vampires are like. Most of it is over-romanticized bodice-ripping slime which I would not feed to a [i]compost heap[/i], let alone read to a person.
