prologue:
as i drew the blinds on another night, i arranged myself at my desk and collected my thoughts. as day advanced through the small, uncovered places, it created tender screens of turkish smoke..... i watched these clouds ebb and flow, chuckling as they swirled in and out of shape and focus, at the way life is so similar to these ever changing canvases.
i crushed the life from my seven minute death and began to write.....

how does one come to a place like this? is it by fate or choice? and how does one sum themselves into a few coarse lines..... when last was it enough to simply say, I AM.
well, be it by choice or fate, i am HERE. i have lived in the vampire's world for the whole of my natural life. and though i never considered myself one of them, i became a servant to them over ten years ago.
i was a composer and a traveling performer, but in the winter of 1994, i bacame a fangsmith. some of you reading this will know who i am, many will not. that's ok, we all disappear once in a while. sometimes we disappear into the mundane world, not unlike the light that disappears out of that world and into the small spaces between my blinds. it creates a new life for itself, allowing my smoke to paint a new face on it, a new definition. sometimes it is lost. after all, it does not belong in my world. and in this conclusion, i realize (again) that i do not belong in it's.

how does one come to a place like this? through good friends.... through reconcilliation with oneself..... through the unmistakable, undeniable fact that I AM.
