Is the Irish version of a vampire. There are many tales around the world regarding vampyirism. What is fact? What Is finction?

The following story is written by myself. Lady Akasha Adiana on 5/17/21

The sun rises over a country field in Ireland. Merida, "looks out the window". "Her heart begins to beat fast". "Merida, calls out". "My Love"

He turns to look. "My Merida" He holds her in a loving embrace.

Merida giggles. " I am counting down the days until we sneak away. He smiles very big. "Not long My Love". She stands on her tip toes. She kisses his cheek.
He holds her tight. " In two nights, you will be my wife".

She tells him she loves him, and runs back to her room. Her father has promised her hand in marriage to another man. A older rich , cruel type of man.
She must follow her heart, as she has loved him since she was a child. Her father doesn't think a farmer would make a good husband.

Off in the distance, along the shadows of the tree line, stands the crone. She has her eyes on the young man, and has made a plan to make sure she can have her way.
She has befriended Merida, years she has planned and plotted. Little does Merida know, by nightfall the plan will fall in place.

That night she fell asleep with dreams of her love. She was awoken by her father, he grabbed her and dragged her outside, there was the man she was promised too, as well
as the crone she thought was her friend. The woman began to speak, told her father of the girl's plans. Right there he made Merida marry the man, and he took her with him to his home.

He was a very cruel man, she lived taking his abuse. One day she learned of her love's death. She fell to her knees with grief. The crone tried her best to have her love.
He rejected all of her tricks and advances. "Merida" the cruel husband called. She had taken poison, and had already died. He said well time to pick a new wife.

He buried Merida. Where her body laid for 1 year.

On the anniversary of her death. Something strange happened. She awoke with a uncontrollable blood lust. She dug herself out of the ground. Her heart once
full of love, had turned stone cold. "The Crone" first words to come from her lips. She walked to the crone's home outside of the village. She looked in the widow.
She saw her, and she jumped thru the window, she grabbed her, and ripped her heart from her chest. As it beat it's last beats, she ate it, and dropped the slumped body
to the floor.

Next she went to her love's grave. She sat there awhile, talking with him, about what was stolen from them. She stood in a rage, she walked to her father's home.
As he lay sleeping, she stood over his body. He opened his eyes in horror. "Merida" please no, She sank her teeth in his neck and drained him dry of all blood.

She thought about her cruel husband. "A twisted smile formed" she walked to what was their home. She saw a poor young girl, being beaten. She saw his cruelity.
She stepped from the shadows, the girl screamed, and ran away. He looked in horror. "Merida" escaped his lips, as she grabbed him up. She took her time, beating
him, she drained him dry, and snapped his neck. She walked back in the shadows.

Legend in Ireland states on her anniversary of death. She walks under the blanket of night. Draining those cruel souls of blood.
