What is Darkness? Is it that lurking malicious or evil intent? Is it the enemy of the Light/ Is it the Tin to the Yang/ Is it part of our duality/ inner-outer person?
I believe that darkness is partner to the light. Together they blend to enhance creativity, to arouse that which is dormant inside each of us. We must have the Darkness to enable the Light. Without the Darkness, we are indeed incomplete, a mere shell of ourselves. It's the Darkness which awakens us, stirs the actions of both inspiration, and aspirations.
When you see the darkness, what thoughts enter your mind? What emotions do you entertain? Do you really allow yourselves to experience the freedom of expressions that others prefer to hide? Do you desire to splash upon the shores as the passionate crashing of the waves, instead of using self denial as a virtue?
Consider whether Chocolate Decadence would taste even better, without the word "Decadent"? Would it capture your imagination? Would it thrill you to levels of new ecstasies and passions? Or will you retreat into the shell as a tortoise?

We can not fully embrace ourselves unless we embrace our dark side as well. It is only by getting to know our darker side that we can appreciate the light.
In yin/yang it is said that it is the darkest just before the light. You can not have one without the other.
