It will soon be Fashion Week in New York when designers present their Spring 2009 collections, giving us an idea of what will be in stores for the season. And to my surprise I learned that some at one time or another have gone goth. I had no idea until I found out about a great goth exhibition that will open at the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) in Manhattan on the opening day of Fashion Week - Sept. 5. It's the first devoted to gothic style and there are pieces from Alexander McQueen, Karl Lagerfeld for Chanel Haute Couture, John Galliano for Christian Dior, Fracisco Costa for Calvin Klein, Christian Lacroix, Derek Lam, Ricardo Tischi for Givenchy, Thierry Mugler, Rodarte and Anna Sui among others.
