He was frozen, paralyzed.
A polymerization
of horror and shock on his face.
His gaze fell to his hands
painted with dark splatters of her blood.
So warm, so beautiful.
His eyes snapped back to her, to her face,
not a look of shock or horror, just hurt.
That was the worst part...
No...no the worst part was the whole in her neck.
Her beautiful, pale neck.
The jaws he forced through her flesh
drinking from her heart.
He felt the tears stinging at his eyes,
then a torrent with an abysmal heat
broke forth over his cheeks.
He tried to command himself to stop,
but he was too late.
He could barely force myself to whisper,
"What the hell have you done?
