Mack struggles to keep her career in a future where artificial intelligence has made even the smartest human redundant. USPC lead the space race replacing mission controllers with advanced AI supercomputer ARTi with Humans required only when ‘Origin Unknown’ objects are encountered. One has been found on Mars so Mack takes her last chance to run a mission. Stuck in a control bunker with ARTi running the show, the pair discover a giant Cube in the wastelands of Mars.
