The 3” Classic Cylon Raider is made of both plastic and die-cast, and features a mounting arc and Battlestar Galactica insignia display base. The Raider somewhat resembles a mechanical manta ray. Equipped with two sublight engines, the Raider is armed with two devastating forward guns and is additionally capable of transporting bombs.

The Raiders were usually manned by a trio of three Cylon centurions, two centurions manipulating the control dais with the third centurion occupying a command position in a seat elevated above the other two. Generally the Raiders are deployed from Basestars, most often in numbers far superior to those of the Vipers set in opposition.
