Aural Vampire is a Japanese band which consists of Exo-Chika on vocals and Raveman on music. They hail from Tokyo, Japan and compose mainly electropop, darkwave, and synthpop music with some industrial elements.
Exo-Chika dress like a vampire and sometimes wear custom fangs. Exo-Chika also like to drank red wine in some of her pictures. Raveman always wears a mask and seem to dress in suits and military outfits.
Aural Vampire has toured Europe numerous times and has been featured in magazines such as 'Astan Magazine' and 'The Dose'. During the first four years of their career, they were on an independent label.
Aural Vampire released their first full-length album, "Vampire Ecstacy" in 2004. In 2005, Aural Vampire released one online single, "Death Folder", which is available on their website. A few tracks and remixes have appeared on compilations throughout their early carreer as well.
Aural Vampire has also worked with Japanese band, Blood.
Exo-Chika provided vocals to Blood's hit song "Blood" on "The Reaper Behind Me" album.
In 2008, the band announced that they have been sighed to Avex Trax, a major label. At the end of the year, they released some of their EPs on iTunes, including the American iTunes Store. Their second album is planned for a spring 2009 release.
