i had this weird dream the other night. i was in the middle of a forest, i think, and a small blue bird flies up to me and lands on a near by branch. i hold out my had and it lands in the center of my palm. then all of a sudden the bird gets really hot and just melts in my had. it turned to a burning brown blob. i got a little scared and woke up. my hand was stung lilke hell. i pressed it against my face and my hand was blazing hot. then just like that, it went away. has anyone else ever had something like this happen to them? i'm welcome to any comments.

Psychologists have done experiments into the outer world affecting the brain... if you throw water on someone while they are asleep, or slosh it around near them, they will more often then not dream of the sea.

However, when you wake up a person can 'feel' their dream. many a time I have woken up crying or hugging someone I thought was there, but they weren't.

Either theres something in your room that could of made your hand hot, or a lignering of the dream... or you live in the only place on earth that does chocolate birds for Easter which spontaneously combust... ooh Khaymans thread, ask her *wanders over.*

Do you feel guilty for maybe hurting a loved one? In your dream, the bird being something we associate with beauty, could be a symbol for someone you love and take care of. Perhaps you feel that you did something wrong to them. (the scorching and melting of the bird)

Echo, If you put someone's hand in a bucket/cup of wather while they are asleep and it helps if they are a little drunk 9 times out of 10 they will wake up with a wet patch (pee'd themselves) *evil laugh*. And you are right, whilst you are asleep there are many factors they can determin the path/road/course your dream will take. Try sleeping with the window open on a cold night and you will dream of a cold place/thing. Vice Versa. I know when i was very yound and used to have asthma attacks, i would be dreaming of suffocating and feeling it in my dream, when actually it was a pre-warning that a attack would occur 100% of the time i'd wake having a attack...

nope i never had a dream like that before but have had dreams of me falling and then i woke up cause i fell out of bed lol

i think i may have had a dream like that before. i woke up and felt part of what i was dreaming...very strange yes. But im not sure its exactly the same here.

i have had a similar dream i am running away from something through a drak forest as i reach the end i hear the crack of a rifle i turn to see and i find my self face to face with a hooded soldier in a heaqvy camoflauged uniform he looks up at me and smiles his gun is still smoking from its barrel i llok at myself and i bleeding from my heart. then i wake up with a sharp pain in the exact same spot where i had been shot.

Actually i have a few times. Once was where i had a dream about a vamp guy where he bit me on my neck and i felt it when i woke, secondly, i had another where i was being kissed and i could feel someone's lips on mine and i woke thinking someone was really there but wasn't.

i've actually had other dreams like this one too. the most recent one, other than this one, was with my bf in it. he had his arms wrapped around my bare waist and we were kissing. when i woke up i could still feel his hands on me and i longed for him...
