i know how, if you have photo shop or an image editing program on your comp open the pic in that program then under edit go to resize image than adjust it so that it reads pixels then resize as needed.

You may even already have a program on you computer that would allow you to manipulate digital images. Microsoft Photo Editor for instance.
you can use edit sketch skew in paint. or if you have photoshop ifanview etc... they will have resizing options in them.
o drat i've just thought of another thing if you have word. you can resize it in there and save the page as a website
and it will resize the image for you in its source files :). yeah i am going to have genius was coming to me throught the day. this always happen. anyhow yeah... that should work too

photbucket.com allows u to change the size of ur piccys, (dunno if thats already been said, i cudnt realli be bothered realdin all teh comments! :P lol
I use photobucket and it only allows you to make them smaller. In fact when you put one of your pics in photobucket if it is too large it automatically reduces it.
hmm...all my pics on photbucket went tiny, i ment Apparetnly u can reduce them, i never managed to do it! :S
is it to do with pixels in the image or sumthing?
If you have a webcam just import the pics into the webcam picture editing program. Then resize that way....
These are really easy basic steps everyone should be able to follow .. I have sent these to many people and they have used them to create their profiles ...
To those who are trying to place an image in your profile and it just doesn't want to go. It is probably because it needs to be resized. The easiest way to do this that should be able to be done on any computer no matter what system you are running is in "Paint"
Follow these steps click 1. Start ... 2. Programs ... 3. Accessories ... 4. Paint ... 5. File ... 6. Open ... 7. (where ever file is) ... 8. Image ... 9. Stretch/Skew ... 10. in the top box, (Stretch) change values starting at 75%, if image is still too big to fit in window, so it again at 75% until it fits in your window ... 11. Image (again) ... 12. Attributes ... see that the pixel size that the bigger number is 400 os less for your profile page and 500 for your portfolio page images ... if the numer is that or below then ... 13. File ... 14. Save As ...
Now to crop the picture follow steps 8 thru 10 .. click the dotted square (outline box) and fit over the portion you want to crop around ... right mouse click .. copy ... file .. new .. right click mouse .. paste ... file ... Save As ... name file
Hopefully this will help anyone needing to know that.
Also ... You can set up a photo bucket at www.photobucket.com once you do that then you must search clipart/gif files online, when you find one you like right click on it, "save as" then set it in a folder to save, once you've done that, then you have to upload it to y'r phot bucket. To do that, when you log in you have boxes there that say 'browse' , click browse then find the file/gif to upload. Then hit submit, it should now be in y'r phot bucket. Once there, then you must highlight (ususally you only have to click on it) the "TAG" line, right click, copy it; then in the box in y'r "Edit Profile" page, whereever you want the picture to be, you paste the TAG line. Then hit "Submit Changes" then look to see if it's in y'r profile. To center the picture you do the same as you do with y'r text you use there bracket's --- and inbetween them you type the word center, with no spaces, at the end of the IMG string you have copied you again use the symbols, only this time type in /center with no spaces.
