The Ultimate Vampire Resource and Directory

Can anyone tell me how they know they are a vampire? And what are the true ways that they live? And do they die like humans not the myths in movies?

I'm not a vampire...but I was always made to believe that if one is truely a vampire then they were to keep their indentity hidden...not calling anyone on here a liar or anything of that matter...just saying.

But isn't that why this site was designed so they don't have to hide anymore?

this site may have been designed for many reasons and one of them i beleive is to get rid of the groos misconstrued ideas of many people who believe in vampires but fear that they are evil

I consider myself to be Vampire... yet I am human.. I have Vampyric qualities.. I suffer from solar uticaria.. a skin condition that causes welts and blistering when exposed to sunlight, photophobia, meaning my eyes are extremely sensitive to sunlight... I do consume blood from a donor on a weekly basis.. and have done so for most of my natural life... as far back as when i was a babe being breast feed by my mother.. and drawing blood..after that i began to bite my sister to taste the blood, and when she ran .. i bit the dog..(gross i know but true ) it was a craving.. a painful craving.. also I have not been able to deal with daylight hours too well and sleep during the day.. I also life a vampyric lifestyle... those are the things i believe allows me to believe that i am a vampire... a human one nonetheless .. I am not immortal , dont hate garlic love silver and adore crucifixes.

But when you think about it many people who don't believ they are vampires may have some of the same conditions you do so it really is more of a willingness to accept the vampyric qualities and follow that lifestyle isn't it?

I believe that you are right on this point.. and as my quote on my profile states : "embrace the darkness before it embraces you" this is my own personal quote.. and it rings true for this situation,.. I had these urges and was drawn towards the darker things in life in order to understand what was wrong with me.. alot of people will say that I am sick and twisted, but I embraced what I am and thus became vampyric.

This is true.. but you cannot run from what you are forever... eventually it catches up to you.

yes and when it does you can accept it gracefully or fight it until it consumes you.

So vampires should not be feared cause they are living in a world where people ridicule others for there belief?

that is pretty much my point they fear what they dont understand and by doing so ridicule and humiliate those who do understand and follow this lifestyle.

people have always persecuted that which is unknown... this is what bring about the fear factor.. not knowing.. lack of information.

i agree lack of information always has and always will spurn the most unpleasant reactions.. look at the which trials a bunch of bored girls cried witch and then many peple were persecuted...all because they didn't understand that children will be children....read the crucible for more on that though...

I definetly am not one to judge anyone for their lifestyle I am just very curious about this because I know nothing about it. That is why I started this thread to try to find answers so that I don't have to be afraid of what I don't know.

I think this was a very good thread... it allows other to express what they believe makes them vampire or not.

i am a vampire.....and i live like any other human would ...but i sleep during the day and i am awake during the nite....the nite is my best time for me to achieve alot of things.

Vampiregoddess18 with you being a vampire do you crave the taste of blood? I know some do and some don't was wondering about you?

i know i am because i asked for the dark gift and recieved it...i was sired by a pureblood...
