And there I was, thinking about this..would it ever be possible that there would be a crossbreed between a Vampire and a different race? I hope this could bring out a discussion of some sort and I also wanted everyone to give their opinion on this site I found in the internet..browse for this site and tell me what you think..thank you..
Here's the site address: http://www.haemavore.com

There are a number of witch/vampire hybrids around. Other than that, who knows?
Awesome site. It would be unique if a vampire could find a race that could null all of it's weaknesses and enhance all of its strengths.
If there are actually crossbreeds, I wonder where they usually lurk..I'm quite fond of them and I have no reason why..@_@;; And yes, I like that site too..
The site is a good read, but I'm not sure of it's authenticity. Also, it only deals with vampires who get the virus. Eh.... it's an okay site.
Hmm interesting site. Not so sure about it though. Probably are mixes already, who knows. Something I doubt we will.
natural progression dictates that through evolution there will be mutants, cross breads and deformitys, and vampireism has been around quite a long time, and if it has'nt happened already, it soon will.
Since vampires have never bee considered, realistically, a separate race apart from humans..but instead mere human beings. I would say no. I largely chalk the whole 'Otherkin' stuff up as pure bullshit engaged in by people who need an excuse to feel a little different..but don't like the more common choices in that. You can't have a crossbreed without that type of difference, and it just isn't there.

In reference to the site you listed..it is there for nothing mroe than entertainment value. This information is based on no verified testing..and further demonstrates a lack of knowledge by the writer as to how the body even works. Note that on the site it is said:
"This site is presented as fact but it is not my intention to cause alarm. Whether or not you choose to believe the content is very much up to you. Draw your own conclusions and just enjoy the site."
Take notice to the fact that he say that it's presented as truth, not that it is true. This is to avoid getting the ass sued off the writer. Read the site..it sounds great..if you don't know anything about basic biology.

Well, "crossbreed" itself is not really the best term to use. There are people with inborn magickal talents, such as witches, vampires, werewolves, and yes, otherkin. Those who claim to be otherkin rarely are, but they do exist. I don't know about mixing any two, though. Just that I know a few vampire/witch mixes.
The site I'm not so sure about, but I do believe that there could be crossbreeds of vampires and other creatures. It would probably be harder to find a pure bred vampire than it would be to find a partial crossbreed.
True... there are fewer and fewer pure-blood vampires around, since people will be people, and won't care whether their spouse is a vampire or not.... oftentimes.
I guess the straw that breaks the camels back in this argument is whether or not you choose to believe that vampirism has any biological basis.
To say that what these people are affects their offspring in anything other than basic genetics or opinions..implies such a belief.

Magickal traits are also passed from parent to child. Sanguinarian vampires will have vampiric children. The only question is how "pure" the child's condition will be.
Once again..there is no evidence, or even a serious occult interjection that has a shred of truth. The purity of something that you cannot prove would be a litle hard to test..now wouldn't it.

Certainly, but it still stands that the children of a vampire/witch/werewolf will inherit traits of their parent.
It only stands if you can demonstrate it several times and then show the mechanism that cause it..until then..it's just a nice idea.

That's much easier said than done, given the fact that not a whole lot of them would openly agree to an "experiment" of that sort. There's a lot that still isn't understood fully by medical or metaphysical experts, for that matter.
This is hilarious. If you actually believe that any of these "vampires" while under medical examination, would display traits that would be shocking to a doctor, you are dreaming. If they look uneasy..it's because they think you are delusional.

I was making a general statement, mrd. I'm sure modern medicine has no methods of testing metaphysical conditions whatsoever.
On that much we agree on. All in all, as it deals with the whole subject of "crossbreeds". There is no way to be sure. If there is something physical there..than as LaMuerte said they are unlikely to have been tested. If there is nothing physical..then we have to rely on their honesty. Either way..it goes nowhere I think.

In my opinion, 'crossbreeds' are for the movies.
Other than that- we are just people who can live the vampiric lifestyle, yet also be a Wiccan- those folks are out there- just like Vampires that are Christians and Vampire that are Satanists. I don't think they consider themselves 'crossbreeds'. I think they consider themselves humans with interests, & things they do and practice/believe with their own will. I've also never heard of vampires being considered a different race.
That is my opnion.
It's a good opinion. Thank you for putting together better what we've managed to botch. lol

Well, the original question was flawwed in considering vampires a different "breed" and consequently using the term "crossbreed." In being metaphysical conditions, they have no real affect on the species of the person. Rather their magickal abilities and potential.

And with that LaMuerte, I agree people can be involved in different metaphysical paths~ have all kinds of interests and paths they actively pursue. In this life, nothing stops us from doing everything we want to do.
Very good. But to add... a vampire cannot choose not to be. He/she is one regardless of choice.

yes, but as a human- a Vampire still can choose a plethera of interests. Like their religion, and/or other rituals.
This is why being a human is cool. I'm diggin' my tour of duty.
Yes, that's very true. We may have pretty much covered every aspect of this topic.
And that site that the thread author mentioned is really nothing more than a good pleasure read. There is no factual evidence to back it up.

Although I am not a vampire y'all. I have a lot of very interesting parallels- maybe there is something I don't know. But from what I do know- I just have some similarities and am very interested in vampirism in all aspects- reality, and fiction.
