I went to High School in both Yorktown & Gloucester...so I've lived on both sides of the York River. I've heard all of the haunting stories of Yorktown...such as the one about about Cornwallis's Cave. I have even seen things myself of a ghostly nature at night...driving up George Washington Memorial Highway. Hey...it's a Revolutionary War Battlefield; what do you expect. I guess you can say that these are the hauntings of my childhood...my home...so I find them interesting. Has anyone else here been to Yorktown, VA & experienced a Colonial era haunting? Here's a link with some info..
Link.
As virginia is my home state,I have been to many areas of it but cannot recall yorktown, though VA is rich in history,I will be sure to check out the link you have as I am always interested in anything I have yet to know about
I have been to yorktown but did not know that the caves existed. Next time I am in teh area I will have to check them out. Also thank u for the link because there is alot of good information in it, including areas in NJ that I did not know were haunted
Wow, I have never been there. But I am planning a vacation in that area this summer.
Thanks for the link. It will help me to plan my visit better.
I can understand why there would be hauntings in that area with the war and all the deaths.
