Thanks to the continuing kindness of Cancer, we are continuing, The Vampire Rave Charity Auction with our third item, prior to finally re-auctioning the autographed tee-shirt which will bring the Auction to a conclusion. The Auction is all about helping raise funds for the Samaritans who are still supporting people in continuing need in the New Orleans area, in the aftermath of hurricane Katrina.

Vampire Rave will be hosting its first ever meet-up in New Orleans, and this auction is designed to show that members of this Society have a kind and generous disposition in the face of adversity.

The chosen Charity Centre for the Samaritans has been in operation for 19 years. It is a food bank and emergency centre serving the needs of the homeless, and families whose income may have been impacted by an illness, fire or other misfortune. They also provide clothing, utility/rent assistance, prescription help, transportation vouchers, counselling, school supplies, and holiday help.

The Centre is a 501 C-3 organization located on the north shore of Lake Pontchartrain in the Greater New Orleans Region. In 2007, they served 1,772 children, 2245 adults and 82 seniors.

I would like to thank Deadly Desire for her generous bid from the previous auction, and TheSavageAnt for a further kind donation of $20.00 bringing the total raised to a whopping, $666.00!!

Auction Details

House Umbrae Octo has very kindly donated a Life-Time Membership with a profile that has already achieved Sire Level and currently carries the Prince's Mark.

The benefit of having a Sire profile speaks for itself as it means that all the ground work, such as rating profiles/database has been done already (at level 28) and leaves the new owner with instant access to starting his or her own Coven!

NB: It should be noted that Cancer reserves the right to withdraw his Mark from any profile, at any time and the profile, "Charity" that is being auctioned is not exempt from this. House Umbrae Octo will not be held liable for any shortfalls in the event the status of the profile falls should Cancer choose to withdraw his Mark.

The Vampire Rave Charity Auction will conclude shortly with the "Final" Auction of the Vampire Rave Tee-shirt that is autographed by Cancer, The Prince of Vampire Rave. This tee-shirt has previously been won by Bones and Oceanne, both of whom have submitted it to be re-auctioned.

I am expecting to watch a real battle for it by Weffie and VampireWitch 39! heh!
