I have spent a lot of time on this one, what was there has been killed by him. The house near by I have held many Ouija boards and so forth…. Nothing.
And have tried summoning rituals and even got into a fight with some guy who thought he was like a vampire hunter.
Impossible to perform any more as the whole place has security and cameras

I've never heard of this story before. I don't really see how a cemetery falling into poor conditions after only 21 years has anything to do with vampire sitings... but as I said I don't know the story. I would personally assume that if a vampire had evidently surfaced, it wouldn't be in a normal new paper. Most likely end up in tabloid type circulation. Unless he became like a rock star...like in Queen of The Damned.

There's a funny thing about walking in or around Cemeteries at night--especially ones that have legends attached to them and as unkempt as this one.

It is fiction for the simple fact that vampires are NOT real. Yes, I think the idea is sexy, but do I believe in them? Certainly not. I am one of those that beieves the proof is in the pudding and unless you can show me a real live vampire, I will state until I die they don't exist. And I don't mean someone roleplaying as a vampire either.

I agree with queenmorbid show me actual proof that vampires exist and I will then believe it. Until then I say vampires are nothing but a myth.

Ive never heard the story, but it would be interesting to check out.. I cant say theres no such thing as vampires since theres been no evidence that there isnt such a thing.. Everyone states that theres no proof there is such a thing, what about the proff there isnt?? It might be true, we never know..

I think most stories like these are true stories but very exaggerated. I think it's possible. Anything is.

although i have not read up on this story, i do believe that the majority of these types of stories are true. Not many people can make up something in that great of detail.

I beleive it was a little joke, probably intended to attrack some attention to raise fun's for a little maintainance on the graveyard itself.

Graet info , never heard of this and amazed at the info that others provided. but to me its just folk lore like the beast of bray road. so i shall look up more stuff and get back.

So far what I have learned from reading; it is all just a bunch of peoples minds playing tricks on them.

Most of you have probably already seen the site but I honestly don't care. lol
Sometimes people lie to get attention and some just drink a little too much. lol
If they are not drinking nor lying then they are o some illeagal drug. lol

Don't stress your selves. Vampires are not seen for a good reason. Lets just leave it at that.

I don't know, it could be the reason it fell into decay, because the vampire killed all who came but I don't know, i think i would need more info on this particular cemetary.

I guess anything is possible... I think that it could have been someone doing things that a vampire would do.. I don't know about the hole bat thing and stuff.. But it's diffrent and intersting.. Think i'm going to read up on it more..

I have a wonderful idea, instead of members debunking the vampires existance, hows about they show a bit of credible evidence for the none existance to back up their debunking instead of assuming and posting these debunking answers...

It really does not help out the Rave when members add their two cents about certain speculative facts. This site is not about debunking anything, but rather adding information that benefits the community in general.

Highgate Cemetary is actual case evidence of a "vampire hunt." Even if the case does seem a bit obtuse, does not mean it was a forgery, or mockery of an actual "vampire hunt." It was all over the british media. Even pics of an individual that had passed away from the apparent "hunt."

The Highgate is speculated to be haunted, although the cameras are there to keep trespassers out ever since the media hype caught many many individuals breaking in just to find prove of this "vampire."

So, instead of basically debunking and claiming vampires do not exist, why don't the members actually contribute a bit of resourceful information, rather than just idoling around adding their two cents for post numbers.

It could be that it was created to amuse, scare and entertain people. Or it is possible that it has some truth behind it. I think it's possible.

I would believe the cemetary is haunted, but who knows if there was a actual vampire

despite the fact that some people have such a negative outlook on a vampire site, but like everyone else yes there are vampires out there so why not in HighGate

many unnatural things seem to happen around cemetaries, do not know if it is fear that promotes the sane mind to see things are put conclusions to what may be alogical stand of what happened, ghosts spirits i shall take as something, yet a vampire it is hard to digest that one would exsist, but i shall say there are things in this world that mortal eyes have yet to be seen, many species of animals, insects are always being discovered. Yet again this may be lore much like the beasy of bray road, lores handed to satisfy the sane yet insane mind.

but on another note, it may be a bit insulting for people to be exploiting the supernatural.... but at least the world gets great books to read and exciting ( but fake )

Never heard of that one how ever I beleive that there are stange things happing in the graveyards.I have seen some strange things gotten E.V.P.s heard strange noises saw orbs that apeard and vanished.I so think it is a very big possabilty that a vampires ghost haunts it.
In some cultures vampires are ghosts not human thus they travle on the mist or fog and enter rooms of unwilling victims.There are many strange things and I think that those who are trying to debunk the possablity of haunted graveyards should themselfs go with cams,video corders,dowsing rods,EMF field reader,A thermo sencer.And spend the night investagating for themselfs.

Again, I think that the the story regarding the Highgate vampire is Myth. My reason for posting again is I did find another story of the Highgate Cemetary itself--a list of some of the famous people buried there, the fact that the cemetary in Bram Stoker's Dracula may have been Highgate, and that it was the cemetary used in Hammer Studio's, "Taste the Blood of Dracula". I wouldn't doubt that some of this history may have been behind some of the vampire myths.

funny thing how imagination runs wild an dfast when a place has been left abandon.
then again it is a logical reaction of the humans to create things that are not there.

I will admit that old cemetairy has more spiritual energy then new ones. Wish causes some reactions to the people passing by or in.

stories like that make me stop and wonder. if vampires really do exist is it possible that they themselves created the graveyard as their place of belonging or gethering for the time. i personally have never heard of a graveyard going into disseray in 21 years. most graveyards are considered holy or sacred ground and it takes multiple lifetimes to loose the protection the holy have placed upon it. this makes me wonder if the graveyard wasnt created in or with evil to begin with. though i have never researched this particular story or fable i have heard similar tales which have turned out to simply be publicity stunts. such a let down.

Well I am sure about one thing. People are going to argue with me on this, but it is your choice. I personally know that vampires do exist, Although they are not like in the movies. I think that a vampire could have possilbly stayed there. But I would find it highly unlikely. They are smarter than that they don't wanna be found. They have set rule's, things like discretion. But I think it is all just a ploy; like someone else has said, to try and earn money. Possibly to move the plots to another cemetary. Do not take everything at face value, delve a little deaper into it and look at other info about the cemetary and dont focus so much on the vampire thing. You will find a link.

Who knows something like this could all just be made up. I think by now if there was vampires there be more real facts out there becuse all ways someone out to sell them out

I just read that in the Book Weird England.. Wow that is funky stuff to say the least.. I believe it though..
