Not a bad show, not going down in history, but worth watching.
Do not go into the movie thinking it has anything to do with the original.
I didn't catch his name in the first movie, but the excorsist himself may be the tie that binds the movies. Other than the priest(witch I'm not sure of) I saw no connection.
My mother seen it in the movies and said it was quite predictable and the original blows this one out the door. I would be interested in seeing it, but not for the prices movie theaters charge.
On the one hand I can empathize that the price of a movie ticket has climbed too high.
On the other, I find that there are very few things you can do in this day and age for $10 (less for a matinee) that can occupy one so completely for 2 hours. This is of course assuming you go to see a movie that is good and you don't come away feeling cheated.
