Bit of a sciency one this one.
Let's say we have one human and one vamp. now lets take the vamps blood out and the humans blood out and swap them around. so the human has the vamps blood and the vamp has the humas blood.
what is your opinion on the change (if any) and does anyone have any scientific evidence on blood transfusions between humans i.e. if 2 humans swapped blood would anything happen?
provided that they have the correct blood types and so on there would be no problem at all.... with humans swapping blood....
my mother and I had conflicting rh factors when I was born so I had all my blood replaced at that time....
And depending on who you ask there have been no long term side effects....
Tho I'm certain that Daermon would love to point out that I am a side effect but I think I beat him to it in this case
so what if the humans have totally different blood types. would they both just die?
i'd like to take the opportunity to say that although there is more to vampirism than blood. i'm taking the "stereotypical" vampire as the prime example.
psi-vamps could not have any different blood from humans at all
yah bad rh factors or blood types would equal death due to massive clotting....
strokes and heart attacks and so forth.....
well that would depend on the type of vampire and what one imagines they are like.....
if they are strictly an animated thirsty corpse I doubt poisioning their blood would have any effect at all....
also anne rice vampires are essentially spirits confined inside of a corpse.... the spirits don't need blood but they do crave it......
but this is akin to trying to nail down a shadow there isn't anything solid at all to grasp so it is essentially meaningless to speculate.
unless of course speculation is the excersize
specualation... your beliefs... i don't mind. anything interesting.
one thing i noted in anne rice was what was said about louis having half of lestats blood and lestat getting half of louis. you'd think that would weaken the blood over time. unless it actually didn't matter.
but nothing is stated :S
well they do go into it eventually......
that it is the amount of spirit contained in the blood that is important......
anyways as for my beliefs..... if I can't touch, taste, smell, or run it through my colon it generally isn't very probable that it exists.....
Tho the trick being is that it is a singularly simple mind that thinks a thing either exists or it doesn't....
Vampires automagically exist as we are able to discuss them.... even as a fantasy they hold more existance than things that have not been thought yet. So by definition of real as something having substance if we're able to discuss it at all it must be real.... as real as the easter bunny and barbie.
I think the vampire would live on in his vampiric ways, unchanged, and the human would die. More than likely the human's body would reject the blood put in him/her. The vampire's wouldn't seeing as it supposedly drinks all types of blood from a variety of victims.
if the humans body rejected the blood then according to how a human is made a vampire it simply wouldn't happen.
as the human must take in some of the vampire blood to become one.
following the human becoming vampire law. the human should become a vamp.
