The Ultimate Vampire Resource and Directory

Most people think of vampires drinking in order to obtain power and energy. I would be interested to hear of any experiences of divination or seeing future events related to the donar, while feeding, or does any one know of this practice being carried out by other cultures, traditions or anyone. Ok i found this in a book i have called " The black art " by Rollo Ahmed , he,s an occultist and the books very dark but describes magical practices from all over the world , The acconts not how to divine something directly from someones blood , but rather how to use blood to revive someone who can then divine future events .

"On the occasion of Sextus , visit , the witch , having magically made the night pitch dark and caused the moon to hide it,s face , led her consulant with some of his friends to a battlefield , where she groped among the slain for a corpse that would serve her purpose , At lenght she found one with lungs and larynx intact , and together they bore it away to gloomy cavern dedicated to the infernal gods .

The body was placed upon the ground , a ghastly sight with gaping wounds , and limbs caked with coagulated blood , while Erichto wreathed her head with vipers and proceeded to make a terrible brew with poisonous herbs .

They next infused new blood into the corpse , and pared it for the return of the spirit . This being done , the witch invoked the denizens of hell , calling upon them with a loud unearthly voice and reminding them that she always came to them replenished with human blood , and had offered them many a sacrifice of unborn babes , torn from the mothers wombe .

Before the startled gaze of Sextus and his friends Erichto then demanded of her familiars the spirit of the soldier which was close to earth , and suddenly it appeared standing above the body . But the poor ghost shrank from returning to its mangled earthly form , and Erichto only persuaded it to do so by the promise that she would free it for ever from the powers of magicians and that it should never again be called to earth .

Painfully the soldier,s spirit retook possession of its body , and stood erect to answer the questions put to it by the sorceress . Still bearing the imprint of death , the ghost foretold the coming fortunes of pompey and his armies through its old form,s cracked and pupul lips .

Thats a hefty book to come by. And yes they do make reference to necromancy by means of blood. Same are a few references found in the Treasury of Witchcraft.

its buried in a box, but if the thread is open ill post it. There are many references in it to such things as the black mass, and entrails divinations. as for direct link to blood as a medium of the sight, not really. As blood will replenish the individuals own abilities of precognition etc, allowing them to of their own will and capacity see what needs be seen.

for some reason when i have fed i can tap into my spirit more strongly and therefore release my dark side stronger which is usually given to premonitions or something else to do with my practices

Aghh that book sounds interesdting Moonbubble. Get what your saying here. If you feed off the blood energy you take your senses and abilities to a heightend state. So any Psychic abilities are enhanced and could be the reason for visions given by the donor during or just after feeding. Had not thought of about it that way around.
