I have one simple thing to ask.
Isn't it..against the laws of the book not the movie nor anything like that, but the real book? I do know that real vampires do have laws they have to follow..but not like it is said to be.
But my question is this:
Is it against the laws of a vampire to love a mortal?
I mean I could be wrong and if so please tell me but that is just a simple question.
If you are basing this question on the laws of roleplay material then that would depend on which style of roleplay you choose to adhere to.
I do think that the whole of the "real" vampire community couldn't care less about the relationship with anyone save for the pedophyles, beastialists, so for and so on.
I think someone would be taking the whole "dating a vampire" thing way to far if they think the vampire society has rules regarding this topic.
Well I know by Hollywood standards it is yet, if your a real person and live a certain lifestyle then, I feelit up to the individual as to whom they love or not.
Yet, I feel that way nomatter if your roleplaying or being real.. it is an individual choice.
depiction of the past in books and Movies never related to this, just it was aginst the codes of standards,
Yet our perception would be on tales of the gods and mortal women. Which was against their rules or codes.
Make believe role playing the standards may be set by who is role playing and their interpetation of this so called love of mortals.
What would be the different from mortals and werewolfs, well on the story lines of movies a big NO No. but it is left up to the story tellers and their perception of what codes need to be set.
Love is undying, and love is at all reaches of life........
I also feel love is for whomever you want to love.. I mean we are not immortals by any means of lifestyle we may live. Yet, free will and all we can love whomever we choose to love. :0 no rules in my opinion for anyone or thing as to the nature of Love... it should always be unconditional. Of course there are few and far in between that truely love in such a way so if they did love me and I was not the same as them it would not stop me or them.. :)
well I do thank you all for answering that question for me.it was just something I have had in my mind for awhile..along with alot of other things but i am not going to go in that..but Once again I do thank you all for answering it..also I love how everyone has their own ways of wording their words and answers..But once again I do thank you for all those that have said something about it.
The one problem with a vampire falling in love with a mortal is simply that one person in the equation is mortal, if vampires are able to live for thousands of years that would mean that the person you love will die, in a thousand years a vampire might fall in love a few times, undergoing such suffering, would one want to?
Master well thought post, and with the stories of hollywood, the lost love in some time a face would be seen reminding you of the past love and would you go after the dreams in which you remember. we as adults look back on the past alot specially in the troubled times hoping to return to the time of happiness in our lives.
Love has no bounds. And if it did the world would come undone.
Even if there were 'laws', im sure there are those that do not live by those laws, which i think would be considered a Rogue type. They would love a mortal regardless if they chose.
i know of no such rules, but it seems that if one can be embraced by a vampire, a vamp would wish to make the mortal he/she loved a vampire as well.
but if vampirism is a genetic thing and not transmittable, then one just must make due, and either follow ones heart, or cut the ties and go.
just my thoughts

I wouldn't see why it would be against any "rule" for a vampire to love a mortal. After all, if the love grew enough, or the mortal wished it, they could always be turned into a vampire themselves. But many vampires were themselves mortals once upon a time, so it would be natural to be drawn to another mortal. Even Dracula coveted the mortal Mina Harker...
