I was just wondering. How many of us here on VR believe in the reanimation of a corpse? Generally, a zombie. If so state why you believe or don't believe.

Also, let's think hypothetically. Let's say in the near or distant future, reanimation is possible and flesh eating zombies were created. What do you think would be the cause of reanimation ? Do you think we would be able to contain such an infection/virus? Would we survive?

You can also bring up studies, or medically induced zombies, or the afro-carribean belief.

There is a thread close to this called Undead.

But zombies from the point of view of movies is hollywood fantasy, yet going on the voodoo practice I think that you may find alot believe in this point.

Reanimation of a corpse has been studied by scientist since the early years, think of the war time efforts as dead go to battle for you. bio chemestry is looking inot the possibilities, but remeber that for every good plan there is always a problem.

Well, I believe in study of reanimation. But I don't see it being a success anytime soon or ever.

As for,hypothetically.

It depends on how contagious the strain is. And what it can contanimate like, water, rain, air, or food. Also on the mobility of the creatures.

We might get them under control, but at a loss of lots of people.

Also, let's say. Someone like Kim Jong-Il had the strain?

Could we retrieve something like that, from a corrupted official or dictator?

Going hypothetically as you say the strain, in some point would mutate and thus us knowing whether it becomes air born a transmitted like a virus would be potential.

Much like the resident evil movie has potrayed. when we as humans play God, the boundries we cannot interput what wil happen. We cannot assume in our logical minds that we would or could control such a bio engineering feet.

I do believe there will come a time in the not so distant future when the government will be percieved to have screwed up and created a pack of zombi...Whether it can happen vs will it happen is where this discussion could lead.

But I think with all the secret stuff we as general public is not prevey too, that experiments may be infact going on to reanimate a dead corpse as of today and yesterday.

So some time in the future we may infact see such a thing. Zombies.
