This is for any real vamps out there. If you don't mind sharing, I'd like to know what it was like when you awakened and if anything caused it. For me it was a painful experience both physically and emotionally and it had something to do with my girlfriend at the time. I don't fully remember all of it but I remember an intense hunger that made me feel really sick and lasted for a few days and I almost attacked her on the worst night of it in desperation to feed.
In my case, it was a sudden sensitivity to the light, lethargy during the day, inability to sleep at night, a sudden thirst and predatory instinct when confronted with blood, and a feeling of general unwellness unless I drained.
What's funny is that I consciously psychically drained people before I knew what that there were other people who did so- all that I knew was that it made me feel healthier and more awake. I could even say that it was an instinctual act. I began casually draining at age 10, doing it on a regular basis when I hit age 12, which is when my symptoms began to manifest their strongest.
I can't think of anything that triggered it, as it was a gradual progression.
If you believe in this concept and I am not saying that it does not exist... But it could be explained not as a vampiric practice to that of a "puberty" issue, with the connotations being vampiric in the eyes of the beholder.
What makes the individual think that awakening has to do with vampires? If not vampires, then why would an individual "awaken" in the first place? Higher awareness values, mayhaps? If so, then what would be the point? Where would the individual be headed within the metaphysical process?
If the awakening is not a metaphysical quality, but a physical quality, then why not just call it a differant form of "puberty," since this seems to be the case in the long run?
In my perspective, the awakening process does not exist outside the neo-roleplayers realm. Those of whom follow certain paths deem this term as a state of change within themselves. But, the flaw lays within the understanding of what the awakening process actually is and involves.
This being said, those who would ask how any other individual awakens, could be seen as fishing for an idea and or excuse to portray those same qualities themselves for the sake of the "peer" environmental factor of "fitting in."
Well said.
I just hope that your answer dont scare everybody of. Awekening is a state of mind and nowone can take that away from an individual.
You really like to argue just for attention don't you. If you have nothing to add to the topic then don't post. I'm not asking for your definitions, nor am I trying to fit in. I'm making a forum where people can discuss if and when they experienced a change other than puberty that has shaped there lives. You don't know what other's have experienced so kindly shut up if you don't have your own experiences to share.
We're done here. I am closing this to avoid any possible arguments. Do not redo this topic for at least 30 days.
