Yes. This morning I awoke to yet another schedule change of our cruise. Please.. do not call me until after Monday. Everytime there is a schedule change, my work load triples. Here goes:



SAT 10/06/07 PORT CANAVERAL Depart at: 4:00 PM (Must be onboard by 3pm)

SUN 10/07/07 AT SEA (WAS KEY WEST)

MON 10/08/07 COZUMEL 10:00 PM 6:00 PM

TUE 10/09/07 BELIZE 8:00 AM 5:00 PM (WAS COZUMEL)

WED 10/10/07 ROATAN 8:00 AM 3:00 PM (WAS COSTA MAYA) (WAS PROGRESO)

THU 10/11/07 AT SEA

FRI 10/12/07 FREEPORT 10:00 AM 6:00PM (WAS NASSAU)

SAT 10/13/07 PORT CANAVERAL 8:00 AM



1. If you were previously booked in Belize - those shore excursions are AUTOMATICLY being reinstated by Shoretrips.com

2. All shore excursions through shoretrips.com for Cozumel are automaticly being moved over.

3. I will not have the new schedule of onboard events until Tuesday.

4. Shoretrips does NOT charge a penalty for ship itinerary changes. No matter how many there are and when.

5. Carnival will not tell me why Nassau was removed. I have asked their corporate office already, and cannot get a straight answer.

6. Shoretrips will have the shore excursions up for Roatan and Freeport by Monday.


7. Refunds for Key West and Nassau will be automatic by shoretrips. However, It may take up to a week to come all the way through. Please remember that there are quite a few of us.

8. Those of you not attending the precruise party. I had already mailed out your cruise tickets. Please disregard the schedule of onbard events. You will need to check the website: www.allgenretravel.com for the new one.. or check back here on Tuesday or Wednesday for the new one.


Now, this is supposed to be the LAST schedule change, and is being made public this week.... according to Carnival.

Good thing we didn't book our excursions yet...

We loved Roatan:) Cute little town on the water but the Cab ride was $$$ .

Oh yay! I'm so glad Belize is back on the itinerary. I was really looking forward to going there!

I wasn't too keen on Key West , so imho, this change is fabulous!

Thanks for the update! I was looking forward to Uxmal in Progreso, but that's a nice chunk of change that can be used for something else. Yay! Cave tubing in Belize. I'll have to check but I think this is the same day as originally scheduled. I had already pre-booked something with an outside operator, so I can probably just keep what I have. Don't know much about Honduras, but I'm sure it will be interesting. Freeport might suck from what I've read, but I might just decide to stay on the ship! That's the beauty of a trip like ours: if you're not interested in one of the ports just stay on the ship and enjoy the three others. Keep costs down, and spend your money where you really want to, not because you feel you have to.

Don't walk around town in BElize!!! The port has some nice bars and shopping and art..... but then there is a chain link fence around the port... Go on an excursion do not walk around shopping past the fence. Makes the bad part of the Bronx friendly. Lot of homeless... not begging... telling you to give em a dollar. Ya don't feel safe. Swore that we would always do an excursion if we went back there. So it's Canopy, Cave tubing or Beach break for us:)

Holy smokes!!!! Yay for Belize and zipline!!!! I just booked for Key West and Progreso last nite...WAH!!! My credit card statement is going to look crazy with all of the cancellations and bookings!!! Now time to go do some research on the new places!!!

I had just booked Chitin Itza yesterday.

I like Belize though so I'm sure we'll find something.

As default stated.. I wanted to readdress what I said back when this forum first went up. And it was stated again in my report on the Glory from my May 19th Trip.

DO NOT WALK AROUND BELIZE ON YOUR OWN!

The port itself has some great shops and restaurants which the whole thing is fenced in and secured. However, when we got to the exit area onto the island.. is was seriously scary. There were armed gaurds there, and a ton of people crowding the exit that security kept out. We did not leave the port area.

Shoretrips and the Carnival do use security on their Belize shoretrips. But if you really insist on going out into the city yourself:

1. Go In a Group
2. Stay together
3. STAY ON THE MAIN STREETS
4. Do NOT stray from your group.
5. If you have an international cell phone, bring it.


On a more positive note.. only the city we port in is really bad. If you get a tour of the island through Carnival or Shoretrips, the island itself is just beautiful and quite peaceful.

If you decide to stay in the port and shop.. dont be afraid to go down the side streets. All of the vendors inside the port area are licensed. DO haggle down their prices.

We ate lunch at a small outdoor bar on our left that extended out over the water. Just do NOT drink nonbottled water in this port.

You are 100% correct in everything Z. The Port is really nice.... One of the Bars there... THe Wet Lizard was nice and had good food. Book a tour!! By the way when booking with Shoretrips do I tell them I am with the Goth cruise or All Genre?

I have to say I am a little bummed that we aren't going to NASSAU anymore. I have a friend that works at the Atlantis that I was excited to see. :(

Absolutely.

I've seen tulum and liked it, but can't really say that I'd pay $90 to do it again. At least not for that limited time. The energy there is pretty intense.

I am VERY much looking forward to cave tubing.

Belize is a pretty neat place overall, though I did hear that the immediate area outside the port is very dangerous from others who are more world-travelling than myself.

well, if something happens on the ship, I plan on finding the snootiest, most horribly cranky snazzy types, and throwing them overboard immediately. It is possible for this to include their children, though I'll try to give them the benefit of the doubt.

Anyone using phrases such as "whatever" and 'totally", or having the names Chad, Chet, Buffy, and possibly even Tiffany, during an emergency situation will be used as rations.

Note to self: Stay away from Skully during an emergency...
