There have been a few queries about the Black Dragons here on VR so I thought I would take the liberty in answering within the forum.

The Black Dragons, are a sub or smaller group of a mother order that exists outside of VR. (you'll find that one in the VR database under Sanctus Ordo ab Extraho).

The Black Dragons, is a teaching base that allows its members/pupils to not only enhance their magickal fortes but to allow oneself to push themselves past their limits both in the mundane and the arcane realms.

The mother order however, and entry can only be gained through personal invite from myself or another master there, is one that requires complete dedication and conformation to our requirements, as our requirements are merely in place for protection within both the arcane and the mundane realms.

However, basically the Black Dragons are Guardians of the Ethereal Realms, protecting humanity and those that are unable or unwilling to protect themselves in any regards.

We are all of the following in nature: vampyric, satanic, demonic, ethereal beings, keepers of the thresholds, watchers, and most of our members are also affiliated with either or both, martial arts or the military.

There exist several levels within the Order of the Black Dragons. As a means to maintain discipline, a system of rank was developed to segregate the responsibilities of the various aspects of Clan life. Because many of the originating officers of the order where military personnel at one point in their life, the ranking structure has a very strict code of honour.

However, just like in the military candidates are tested on current knowledge of subjects pertaining to the occult. If the candidate successfully passes the preliminary testing and screening s/he is allowed to enter the order as a Neophyte.

The term Neophyte was borrowed from the Hermetic system of magick wherein this grade meant beginner. This person held no responsibility other than their absorption of knowledge and educate. Throughout their training the candidates will be tested, graded and where successful will be promoted to the next rank. Lastly, is the class of Master? Once the candidate has completed all ordeals associated with the promotion to Master.

At the dawn of the new millennium the Order of the Black Dragons made a decision to branch out onto the World Wide Web. Up until this point all candidates where tested and interviewed in person and selected from individuals that had been observed for a period of time before approaching.

I know I am not of level to join a coven yet, but I would like to know more about the Coven of The Black Dragons. My husband and I are not in any martial arts but we learn how to use weapons, currently we train with Shinai swords. I am also curious as to the knowledge required.

You can view our coven here. Some of the members are members of the Black Dragons which reside outside of VR, but who have also joined VR. The Black Dragons has a global membership, only a few are here on VR.

Please note: That The Black Dragons are members of a real-time organisation, there are some who have joined VR to be a part of this community, but please also know that once we're betrayed, or once one of our clan members, coven members or alliance members are attacked, then we will retaliate in kind. Questions posed in another thread, so I'll answer them here.

Ok. Firstly I'll answer your questions, then I will refer you to a particular thread that I'd created in regards to who the Black Dragons are and what we do.

First the questions:

#1...is there even a protocol one must meet to be a member of the Black dragons...

Yes, there are certain protocols to meet in regards to becoming a member. These protocols do vary now that we have introduced "honorary" status among us. But for the most part, most members are either or all martial artists and/or military personnel and/or governmental employees.


#2..is there a minimum for the age requirements...

Yes, there is age requirements, once must be over the age of 25.


#3... is everyone who bears the insignia even a true member of the black dragons ( as I truly have to wonder if they didnt just copy n paste on their profile to be "noticed", without being part of the organization, plus, why would a person of the law be interested in the rambling ons of online discussions, unless they are breaking the law, not just code of ethics, plus have seen a few of them bearing the insignia starting most of the trouble online,which is simple to rectify, just block them, poof, done,lol)...

Mostly yes. Most people who bear the insignia of the Black Dragons are indeed black dragons. There is one particular member on VR that is no longer a member, and is infact classified as a Rogue. He is currently being dealt with. Sorry the rest is confidential.


#4... are the members restricted to just online affairs, primarily being on vr...

No. We are not restricted to online affairs. In fact this part of our job description is only a very small part of what we really do in real life. Most members are active in the military and/or other governmental agencies and therefore have the necessary training to undertake what is necessary for any given assignment.

#5...Are they not allowed to speak about what they do to help one in need? Not to dispel all of what they do, but give at least a basic/general idea?

No. We aren't permitted to speak too freely about what is entailed throughout the duration of any assignment. Nor are we permitted to divulge information to the general public other than specified public files that have been created for interested parties. This is also the reason why you won't find us by research as we are made of many various professions, each profession assigned specific duties and roles within the Black Dragons.

I guess the only other question one might want answering is "How Can I become a member of the Black Dragons?"

(The use of I is in respect of the potential enquirer as opposed to me)

As I am the only one that is the 'public face', people need to contact me directly. Then after initial contact is made, the enquirer will receive a set of specific instructions to follow. Then once those are fulfilled, then the enquirer will receive notification via either a visit, a phone call or an email in regards to further instructions, but please be aware that anyone that is enquiring must know that we do have very strict protocols to follow.

Part of my confusion was that so many of our vr coven members also wore the insignia on their profile... Must admit, when I first entered the Coven, I thought it was one of the Coven photos we were to add to our page along with the others... and if someone was not use to being inducted or involved in the vr covens... it can be confusing as to which ones are to be posted on your page, and which ones are not. I had direct help, so that in itself helped me out, but as I was rating our coven members, i found more and more of the insignias on the profiles... thinking..."ooops, did I screw up and leave a tag off my page where it should'a been posted on my profile or what?"...and I honestly did not know until I saw your latest posting about the black dragons in our message box from our coven.

That helped confirm **its not one we all should have with our house/coven pics**and then I ran into more of the insignias... whom were not in the vr coven. (Yes, I must admit whilst I'm getting use to this coven, it began to start the confusion up again,and granted, being on pain meds clouded my judgment a bit,lol). Then, I began to have a few snide comments from one, who I told to please leave me alone... and he did, haven't the slightest clue who he was however, since there are so many online,and he was under the age of 25 to. WELL under the age actually. So if I run into this young gentleman again by accident, I will inform you in private who he is, since I now know the age limit is 25. Then questions arrived from others I knew on vr when the posting went out about black dragons, as to if they were real outside of VR as well, etc. Figured the best thing to do was ask aloud so any new members, or other members who had the same questions as I and others...would know. I do thank you Aracon for taking the time to answer.

Some may think these questions are unimportant, but I am glad you reposted it into this section as well...for the new ones wont have any clue or unless they know of someone who is a black dragon ( i thought it was just another VR online coven affiliation). Example, the age, in case they were wondering of joining, or run into a "pretender"...(we run into role players of vamps n satanists n witches, so its definitely not beyond anyone to play as a black dragon, as that one kid did, for the only proof they have online is the photo), some of the protocols and so forth will be helpful to newbies, and to make sure, they don't post the insignia thinking its one of the pics we are to post in our profiles (thinking maybe that kid thought the same thing?)

2. Did I screw up and leave a tag off my page?
No, you haven't screwed up. Only true members of the Black Dragons have the authority to wear the logo. However in saying that I have seen others where it that are NOT true members and they are now being dealt with accordingly.

3. Are the Black Dragons real outside of VR?
Most definitely, Yes.

4. Are the Black Dragons an affiliated member of VR?
No we are not, however we do have members on VR that are real members outside of VR.

5. Are we role players?
No we are not roleplayers. Most of our members are either of the following: Martial Artists, Military Personnel and/or Governmental Employees.
