There once was two lovers
Their affection true and clear
With body and soul
They held their love dear
They kept each other near
Even though their families
Hate for one another
Was shown crystal clear
Every chance they'd get
They'd spend time with each other
Hidden within the shadows
Every moment they could spare
Forever a secret meeting
To avoid a possible nightmare
For letting their families know
Was something they did not
Dare
While they gazed into each others eyes
Like a mist of gray
The world would fade away
Leaving behind clear skies
They'd dream about a future
They'd discuss what they wanted
Life to be,
All in the hopes of
Wanting to be happy
Certain people saw it unfit
Neither of their families
Wanted to see
Nor would they have it
They were told
Their love wouldn't fit
That when it came
To each other
It was for the best to forget
So in a single breath
What they thought of
Was a last ditch plan
To fake their death
It was agreed for her
To take a drink
Which resembled ink
That would 'cause her
To fall into a deep sleep
A hard-pressed decision
To which hopefully
their families
would see their misery
profound
Not just some want
That was viewed unsound
It was orchestrated like a song
But somewhere along
something went wrong
A situation occurred
That didn't belong
She didn't wake up in time
Which drew a line
In his inner mind
That he committed
The most forbiddened crime
Thinking he just lost
His one true love
He felt that he was punished
By God above
His mind now unsound
He took a venomous
Poison that was rarely found
Without uttering
A single sound
Moments later
She awakened from her
Deep sleep
Unaware of the despair
Which was to soon
Appear
Her eyes gazing around the room
She soon felt a sense of gloom
Upon seeing what was his fate
Her witnessed a sight
Her mind just could not
Take
Having lost the one
She loved above all,
She picked up a knife
It was the last thing
She ever saw

I agree with Deaven wholeheartedly, and it truly reminded me of the fate Romeo and Juliet both shared. I do love the line she picked up a knife it was the last thing she ever saw a lot because it does detail what's to come next for the character. An unexpected turn of events. Thank you for sharing this! ^.^
