Listen to me
As the wind whispers and the earth speaks out loud
Newness fades from the land and drifts away without sound
What makes you know this not, is beyond the world and I
We hear it, know the end is coming and with each step we try to rebuild
But we are but one in the stings of God and with each motion you make, we must yield
This shouldn’t make you laugh and be at peace, and most certainly, should not make you proud

What constantly brushes past your deaf ear
God is calling and I am waiting for when he shall bring us forth,
And then what will you do, when nothing you have has worth
Forget the perfect life you think you have lived
All those you have treasured and that which you give
For generosity and happiness are sins in my eyes
For when the red comes and the day fades, it isn’t I who shall die
What you do, can never be enough, no matter how you try to believe
Only if you give the greatest gift shall you receive
Use me, oh lord, and let me not rest
Until all these curses that are placed on my hands, go through a devilish test
It is the horror that these people fear
All the pain and death that will bring tears
In your judgment god, I will fall
Answer not to our sinful calls
Bring those you need to your feet
And we will fight for what you meet
Though why you ask me, I do not know
But you told me, to not be afraid
That everything will be all right
For that, you have my thanks
Let the world forget their ranks
For all is below your glory
Darkness is a part of life and I am here to grasp it and hold it before you
